Can anyone tell me if Coffee County schools are closed Monday, August 25th because of tropical storm faye?? Please!? Thank you.

Yes. They are closed for students and teachers. Just heard announcement on local radio station 106.7.

Why is there not a cell tower located in the vicinity of hwy 158 west? Was told one person is contesting this therefore most have no cell service. Also, why are there not more chain restaurants in Douglas? Usually, when one comes in (Ruby T) others follow. Wouldn't it be nice to have a Longhorns or O'Charleys? Is it good ole boy politicians keeping them and cell service out? Douglas is a great town with warm,friendly folks but it needs a variety of businesses. Good for the economy and livelihood. Would keep folks shopping and money spending in Coffee County not traveling to Tifton, Valdosta etc.

You are new to Coffee County!!! It won't be long and you will find out that this is not a "GREAT TOWN"! Warm friendly folks!! Yeah right! They are only like that to your face!!! You will learn!! This town is all about who you are! Watch your back and keep your eye and ears open.....
Unless you have alot of money!! Then you might get a chance to fit in the "click"!!
I pray that you never need the law enforcement in this "crooked" county......
