The girl on the back of the bike happened to be a very close friend of mine.
The driver was being immature and stupid, there was nothing she could do to get off of the bike.

that is a terrible thing to say about something so tragic.... i seriously hope karma comes back and kicks you in the ass... hard. with something pointy

Where were you William when you knew your VERY CLOSE FRIEND was going out on the bike? where were you William when your VERY CLOSE FRIEND was making decisions on her "Friends" ?

Where were you Willian when your VERY CLOSE FRIEND got on the back of a bike where the driver may have been DUI?

And since you are her VERY CLOSE FRIEND you will be able to tell me what the tatoo on her left shoulder was ..........

But William I don't think you were her VERY CLOSE FRIEND coz you were not there for her when she needed you most !!!!!!!!!!

I thought so William, you were no more a VERY CLOSE FRIEND of the girl than the biker who killed her.

He did it by commission whereas you (if you were her VERY CLOSE FRIEND)did so by ommission .....

But seems I knew here better, I know what the tatoo was :-)

Hi Suez,

I fail to understand why you are so abusive, is it because you have nothing constructive to say?

William, said she was a very close friend, If he was indeed so, I asked where he was when she needed him most? no answer .........

Did he know what type of other close friends she had? If so why did he not make sure she was safe and not tempted to ride pillion with some-one who was irresponsible.

Suez, you called me an abusive name, but names don't hurt .......... unlike being thrashed against the side of a parked van and then catapulted into a plate glass window.

I am sure the Police would have preffered to write this guy up for speeding and DUI if applicable rather than have to go knock on the door of next of kin to say their 20 year old daughter, was dead, no wedding to look forward to, no grand children, no college degree.

Tell me Suez if you saw a very close friend of yours get into a car either over the limit or being driven by some-one over the limit would you call it into the Police??

I would and have done, DRUNK DRIVING KILLS.

William said there was nothing, she could do to get off the bike.
in your comment to William, you acted like it was Williams fault that she got on the bike. Was William with them?

Do you spend every waking minute with all of your close friends? It is stupid to think that one person could be with all of their friends at once.

You were Mean to William.

And Gee, I called you a name.......because that is How you are acting about this.

Someone made a mistake, they were being immature, it cost two lives.

And Yes, if I was actually around someone at the time, and saw that they were about to Ride with someone who was drunk, I would do everything in my power to stop them. I would call the police if I knew for a fact that someone was Sh*tface drunk and about to drive....

But you are talking on here, like you don't give a crap, about feelings, family,( two less in the gene pool ) like they got what they had coming to them........Creep!

No William was failing as a VERY CLOSE FRIEND, if he was that close he would have talked about consequences of bad choices. And if she was ihis VERY CLOSE FRIEND she would have heeded him rather than follow the pack.

It takes a stronger person to say "NO"

Did you watch the slide show??

Of course I care, I care that she will not have children, I care that her relations will not have a wedding to look forward to, I care that there will be no college graduation, I care she will not have the chance to see the world. I care for all the people left behind who have to deal with this mess. I care for the Police and EMS who had to witness it, the nurses and doctors who had to call ToD, the mortitian who is left to work on yet another young body to try to restore the beauty that was there before the killing, the priest who has to give a eulogy of some-one not yet 21, the parents who will have paper work delivered to them for years to come reminding them of this.

Suez , had I just wrote in and said I am so sorry this happened, nothing would be learnt. William may from this day on be even more protective of his Very Close Friends, if indeed he was in the first place.

Amy needed to be less agressive to the Police, they are there to save lives, had they let them go this time next time may have been worse .......

They thought they were so cool running from the police. How cool are they now? I have little sympathy. She could have hit him repeatedly and told him to stop. I doubt this is the first time he's done something like this.

How do you know she didn’t hit him repeatedly begging him to stop? You don’t and neither do any of the rest of us.

You doubt this is the first time he ran from police and got himself killed. If he could do that more than once I would be impressed. Chances are greater this was just a bit of fun which got out of hand. He shouldn’t have run from police. On that I’m sure we can all agree. Why did he run? We can only speculate.

You also assume they were trying to be cool running from police. Based on what evidence?

This was a tragedy which would have been avoided had the bike simply stopped. There is very little information contained in the article. So much speculation without basis in fact.

Cynic, get f-ing clue. He thought he'd be cool and run from the cops. Why else would he be running? He thought he could out run them. Guess what?! He couldn't!! I don't have one bit of sympathy for either of them. People like them are a menace. But they aren't menaces anymore!

yes you tried to be compassionate, after you were, well You know!

You can never take back, what you say, even you know that.

Let these families grieve, without the comments that make the situation worse.

Hopefully they are not reading these threads.

I can think of a number of reasons. Panic, fear of being charged with a crime, there are many more reasons people run from the cops. Trying to be cool would be a very rare reason. Maybe that would be the reason YOU would run.

How can you apply any of what you said from the information presented? You’re a crass person with no respect for the dead. After someone dies most people set aside their petty feelings.

I have no respect for idiots scared of a little speeding ticket, who put so many other INNOCENT people's lives at risk. Why should I respect those who showed no respect for the cops and the general public? Screw them. The world is better off with out them. Hopefully there stupid friends who also ran will learn something from this.

This is Darwinism at work, people!

The bike passed a trooper that merged into the chase on 75 at 130+ mph on the back wheel. When it crashed it was reportedly doing 160+. If you are sitting on the back 'pad' of a GSXR at those speeds and take your grip loose from the rider, you are going to fall off. The girl's death should have been ruled a homicide. She didn't have the choice to stop twisting the throttle. I'm sure she was hanging on for dear life. The boy rode that bike through Cherokee Co. like a maniac almost daily. Just ask his neighbors. So this is the deal, people. A motorcycle license in Georgia isn't too much of a hassle to get (I have a valid one) but it shouldn't be issued to anyone under the age of 26. If you have ever ridden a sport bike then you know that they are really powerful and fast. A young man has not developed the proper reasoning skills to overpower the testosterone that makes them 'invincible' and full of bad judgement. If you do not respect the bike it is going to kill you. And having two GSP troopers in my family, I know the skills that they have to acquire to wear the patches. They can drive and they are not going to back down. If you run from a trooper in a Charger, you are an idiot. And you can't outrun Motorola. The Woodstock Police would have been all over that as soon as they crossed into Cherokee too. Anyone using reasoning and respect would have known that there was no way out. And I'm sorry to offend, but the friends and family of this rider should be ashamed to sensationalize this with the 'up on one' mess. Being a rider and former racer with twenty-nine years of riding experience, If my son was disrespecting a bike like this kid was it would have been parked. Better to fight over keys than have to fund a funeral. My deepest sympathy goes to the families that lost these kids to such a senseless tragedy.
