Why did the CCPL reduce hours and cut staff before the budget even came out? The library is part of our educational system. Reading is one of the most important things a person needs to learn.

Didnt we just get a levy passed this last election for the libraries. Hopefully they put another one on this year to help with the cuts. I'll vote for it.

Hey Resident of NR.....
Yeah they cut staff hours and a whole host of other things. But did you hear, the director and fiscal officer got $2500.00 in Christmas bonus money as well as for the first time the Board decided to give the remaining employees a $40 per person Christmas dinner.
So, I wouldnt rush out to vote in another levy, they obviously have money to give away.(Yeah yours and mine)
Vote NO on all levies.

Libraries are like Newspapers and VHS Tapes. They are no longer needed when most if not all households have a computer hooked up to the internet.
No more levies for things that are on life support. That includes schools. That can be done on the computer also.
