Thankfully no innocent person got hurt. When will people learn to just pull over when they are required to.

sometimes the chase isn't worth the death.
I don't know what would warrant such a chase but there needs to be a limit to how fast or how long a chase needs to be done.

These high-speed chase is not worth the chance
that an innocent person gets killed. All they need is his tag number. Wake up

Unfortunately, cops don't have ESP so they don't know if this guy is running because he doesn't have a motorcycle license, or if he just raped, robbed and murdered. Don't blame the cops for citizens who want to break the law and put others at risk.

I see these guys on super bikes all the time riding twice as fast as the posted speed limit or the rest of the traffic around them. If they want to be dangerous and put not only their lives at risk, but the lives of innocent families at risk, then they deserve to die for doing something that stupid. At least that's one less moron on a motorcycle that has no business on one. Leave the rest of the motorcycles to the people who care about riding and not killing everyone!

Or perhaps the the motorcycle should just obey the law. This trooper did. He obeyed the law and the pursuit policy. Sounds to me like the person that caused the motorcyclists death was his own stupidity.

Couldn't agree with you more. I have both kinds of bikes but I learned something at an early age- respect the bike. You won't see me riding like an idiot, that's for sure...

The innocent public is safer when these chases don't happen. And that is all that matters. Policemen think otherwise because they are stupid.

The incident is unfortunate. I hurt for his family. Keep them in prayer. The motorcyclist is now gone.

The man was running from the law. For all they knew, he was a murderer, rapist, child molester. He KNEW he was breaking the speed limit and when he saw lights flashing behind him, he ran for SOME reason or another. He ASKED for death all by himself. I just hope his family has to pay for the damage done to the innocent persons vehicle that hit him.

It is people like yourself that need to wake up. How did the police know this person was not on his way to kill his girlfriend? Or that he might have stolen jewelry on him from an incident that happened 10 minutes before hand where he killed an 80 year old woman?

You called this trash who ran from the police "an innocent person". Get a little sense in your head.

Stick to what you know: NOTHING!

Police have a duty to apprehend. The public has a duty to pull over. Who didn't do what they were supposed to here?? The cops didn't start the chase. The dead loser did. I suppose you think we'd be better off if we just let everyone get away?

People, Finchy has an agenda. She is very anti-police for a reason. Anyone have any suspicions?? My guess is either she or a family member was busted by the cops, so she's had it out for them ever since. She's a liar. She's prejudiced. And she's a racist.

Why? so you'll know what to do to get out of a ticket. That's what's wrong with this world now!

sounds like a cop trying to justify another cop's misconduct. No cop's don't have esp, but they have one of the most comprehensive databases of information on people in the form of the DMV. like someone said before, all he needed was a license number, and also cops can coordinate with each other to curtail these chases quickly without having to speed excessively. This is 2009, not 1979 in Hazard County on the Dukes of Hazard. There's no place for Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane like driving in today's society, with the technology available
