Clayton County in the Toilet since White Flight of the Mid-90's

I grew up in Clayton County & graduated high school in 2002. I can remember in the mid 90's how there was a ever growing population of blacks & Spanish related people moving in like droves. Alot of whites including my own family had left. My mom & siblings all still live there now. I left in 2005 for a different place to enjoy my life. I recently visited in April & I saw just how bad it really has gotten. Closed businesses, businesses on certain blocks have opened & closed for other operations to take place & so on. Graffiti, gangs, prostitution, run down bus stops, etc. The school system when I was in it was bad but after I left in 02 I have kept track of the news & it has only gotten worse. The majority of white folks who had sense left. Mostly blacks, Hispanics, Asian's & illegal folks reside there now. Even Henry County has gotten kind of dirty like Clay Co. The leadership (actually lack of leadership & values) is mostly black. The police are corrupted as was the previous Sheriff although he did do some good. I am glad I left there when I did. Crime has only gotten higher, disregard for the law & common respect for others & their properties is way gone. Gangs, thugs, wannabe thugs & punk kids roam the streets day & night looking for trouble. Police are underpowered in my opinion & can't stop every single crime. Homelessness is rapid & home foreclosures are higher. Kids drop out at a higher rate than ever before & parents have kids when they're still kids. Illegal's are supported by the tax payers & the people of Clay Co. are mostly uninterested. If they were truly interested then they'd kick everyone out of office there & bring in truly qualified people who CARE. That goes for those in the school system too. My old high school in F. Park had several principals during my 4 yrs. there. No one wanted to stay. That tells you something.

Look around Clayton county and you will have your answer! Who in their right mind wants their kids going to those schools or being the only white at Southlake mall or the movie theatre! I'm sorry but unless you are a white retiree with no where else to go you are an idiot for staying in the ghetto warzone!! Surely you have noticed that you are in a very small minority that stayed if you are white.

The invitation to join us in Peachtree City is still open. I think it would be the type of lifestyle you'll enjoy. Some think you have to have a lot of money to live here, not true. There are plenty of very nice, quiet neighborhoods that do not require a high income to live in. We line in the Fetlock Meadows subdivision and I only make around 47K per year. My husband was laid off in Feb, so right now he is drawing unemployment. Of course, the rent from the house in Riverdale is a big help.
