I was an official witness at the execution of John Wayne Gacy. It took two attempts to execute Gacy. The first time, the IV failed and had to be re-introduced in a vein. However, the second time; the drugs were administered successfully. Gacy's chest heaved once, and he was dead. Who knows if there's a better method - but the fact is, the results were the same.
