My brother was shot in the face by a man that was attempting to shoot my brothers friend. He served 1 year in county jail due to a plea bargain!!! You want to talk justice, where is the justice for my brother??? Once someone close to you is killed, then you change your mind!!! I would gladly take the role of executioneer!!! I think they should allow a family member be executioneer if they so choose!!
You can volunteer and get paid for being an executioner in some states. I think it is $300 lump sum for it in Florida. Also in some states death by firing squad is still on the books.
As for religion; prisons are the biggest congregations and this is for real. Many somehow manage to claim they found God while in there but yet did not remember the Thou shalt not kill or the Thou shall not steal commandment when they were free.

MysticStone... I hear you.. As long as the death penalty is actively practiced, the gov't SHOULD ALLOW family members to actively participate...I'm sorry to hear about your brother..some people are just in the wrong place at the wrong time...Was this the case for your brother?? his friend???...

A country which uses "killing" --albeit "legalized"--to solve its problems, is usually one which ends up with a high rate of killing amongst its citizens. The death penalty does not deter crimes, it merely validates the violence within the crimes. Instead of thinking of new ways to carry out capital punishment, we should follow the example set by the Pennsyvania Amish.
Sure it does there has never been another crime committed by the sentenced after they were executed

As quaint as the Amish are let's not forget that they are parasites, living in relative peace and security provided by armed police and our armed forces. If left to their own devices, they would not exist.

Here's the deal. If the drugs don't get them....then we should be fair. We should finish them off by doing the same things to them that they did to their victim. There. Simple answer. Nice and Clean. Fair for everyone.
