I am Dustin's mother. Dustin is a 12 year old boy that thinks he knows fact when all he knows is the gossip he has heard around town. The Silver Ridge Festival did in fact bring business into the ROCKWOOD and other local businesses. I believe with each new concert the amount of business brought to the area will increase. It is not easy to get such a huge venture up and running and in time Silver Ridge will be a huge boost to local economy. I am sorry Dustin thinks he knows it all and I am embarrassed by his comments.
Thank you,

I agree with Kellye Bauer in that it takes time (and a good business plan) to get a large venture up and running. My husband and I own property ajacent to the concert venue and consider the operation thus far, to be a good neighbor. In this current economic environment it would be helpful to see the festival succeed in bringing revenue, perhaps jobs and turn out to be "darn good citizens" of Farwell, Micigan. I can say as a citizen of Farwell that I hope the festival will continue and be a huge success. I certainly hope that the owner of the event will pay all the outstanding monies owed to several people in the area. Bring on the shows but, not at everyone elses expense.

Now it is postponed according to the website... I am guessing cancelled since the countryfest is supposed to be next month. I am very sad!

I was a contractor at last years festivals...I had 2 checks for payment that bounced from Silver Ridge Music Festival LLC., and they treated me like I owed THEM something! It took repeated threats to report to the Clare County Prosecutors office to get relief (it took months!) May are still without payment due to their "restructuring efforts (also known as bankruptcy) This group of investors should be ashamed that Phil Coultrip is representing them like a crook.
Word is getting around in the industry (I am involved with music festivals all over the country) that this group are a bunch of hacks, who don't know what their doing. It amuses me that they name drop all the time, all the while their "friends" in the industry have no idea who Phil Coultrip even is!
Beware of this organization, you will not get paid by them! Also, BEWARE SPONSORS, you will not get what you are promised! Beware musicians, they will stiff you too! GET YOUR MONEY IN CASH, UPFRONT!

Put us on the lawsuit bandwagon! We were contacted about buying these tickets back in September of '07. We were told that if we didn't buy the tickets at that time that we would lose our good seats and camping spot for the VIP section. So, having a great time last year, we went for it. It was just last month that we went ahead and bought the Rock Club membership. I spoke to a real live person then, so I am sure they knew at the time that things were going all wrong and that this is real evidence of FRAUD and using the telephone to commit fraud. I want to know what the legal system in Farwell and the County Seat are doing about this. Bankruptcy should not excuse people like this from making good on the money for the people in this depressed economy, who work hard everyday and overtime to get to enjoy a little special time with their families in the summer. I am sure some folks forego their treasured family vacations for the whole year just for this event. Please add your experience to this page, if only to let our voices be heard. As things are right now, it seems like the promoters of this thing are in a closed circle, without communication, and have some helpers on the inside of the law! Well, where are the helpers of the citizens that pay taxes right here in mid-Michigan?!?!

I had over $4000.00 in VIP tickets. Being a long time rock and roller, I knew I had to strike fast. The day after the announcement I filed suit in District Court in Pontiac, MI. Turns out the rats were deserting the sinking ship real fast. In the days leading up to the announcement of the postponment, the CEO and CFO resigned. Silver Ridge Music Festivals is incorporated in KY and main office is in New York, NY. File suit fast, before they do declare bankruptcy.

We bought VIP tickets and memberships back in November 2007! Only to find out, inadvertantly, about the cancellation. Immediately we filed a dispute with our credit card company who is now investigating. I suggest you all do the same!
Any other advice is welcome and appreciated!

I am sorry to inform you all, if you are not able to prove criminal activity that cost you financial damages (knowingly comitting fraud for example) it will not matter if you file a court case before they claim bankruptcy. Bankruptcy will still protect them from civil lawsuit. Ony civil complaints stemming from illegal or criminal activity will give you any relief via garnishments, leins, etc. You will however be able to add your name to a long list of people who are owed money and possibly be able to collect some of your $ via an auction of all the propety. I would be very suprised it any of the equipment or assets will be in the name of Silver Ridge Holdings LLC. which will protect them from having it taken away (I may be wrong about that however)

Priority of course, will be give to those who are owed large amounts of cash vs. those who are out thr price of a couple tickets. If you paid with a credit card, you will most likely be able to get the charge reversed on your card. Silver ridge is not answering their phones, so if they do not respond to the credit card's inquiries, you will win that by default.

This is a perfect example of sleazy business practices. I wonder if Mr. Coultrip is willing to sell his new house in Lake to pay some of the people he ripped off?

We got the money back via our credit card. It took some work, but we got back $762 bucks. Now we are going to the CMA Festival in Nashville, a long standing, proven event. We should have done this one again anyways!! What were we thinkin!

I smelled something bad months ago as the ROCK FEST so called artist lineup where actually lame Casino B acts and it had not improved as time past.
That was definetly a red flag..... I was one of fortunate ones....
I did not bite on the pay for a hamburger today for one tomorrow premise....
P.T Barnum was absolutely correct!.
And they lined up... ready to take their Money!
Gee Whizz....
I was looking forward to seeing the fabulous Mommies band THE LUCKY LIVINGSTONS???????

what you didnt like the high school talent show line up? lol! Livingstons played a couple open mics and a tiny bar in white cloud before they "made it" to the big time! Im sure Kenny Olsen, the guitar player for The Flask and former guitar player of Kid Rock (why by the way, sold around 50,000,000 records) was way impressed that Lucky Livingstons followed his band on the Bill!

My aunt and I are laughing so hard we are crying! At least we can all laugh about it now because we got our money back. And btw.....we were going to the COUNTRY festival and the line up was sketchy from the start. My aunt even talked me into the $50 yearly membership (WE EACH PURCHASED ONE) to get a hat and mug (which we never got). Poop, I was so looking forward to them.

Today I heard that the attorney general is getting involved. Maybe ol' Phil Coultrip will get some jail time out of this after all.
