The 2008-09 season's first case of influenza has been confirmed in a 39-year-old Chisago County man, the Minnesota Department of Health said today.

I am the 39 year old in this story and I did get my flu shot so I am not sure why they said it was a "good match" although others in my family were vaccinated and did not get it. I was also prescribed Tamiflu and seemed to be over it in 5 days.

It's possible that you've built up a "tolerance" to the flu shot. Perhaps a double shot, or a mixed drink would help. I'm not a doctor, but I play one on the internet.
