Joe is my Uncle, and we were told today is the last day they will search. Please keep him in your prayers. If anyone has any news, PLEASE post!

Tom, our thoughts are with you. If he was going on the North Country Trail, he should be found. A bunch of volunteers walk certain portions of the trail regurally doing trail clean up.

Sounds like he may have taken a wrong turn.

I am the youngest daughter of Don Rausch and I just wanted to let all of you know that my husband Kim and I are keeping Aunt Dorothy and your entire family in our prayers.
We were crushed to hear that they called off the search. It must be devastating not knowing where he is, but we are praying that God takes (or has) the situation under control some way or another.

My family and the clewely family have known each other for years. When I heard the news my heart sank and the thought of the clewely family's unresolved situation has bothered me so much. Ive spent many of summers up to our cottege at higgins lake bumming around with Russ and Joe jr when we were kids. The whole family has always been a steady friend over the years especially to my parents. May God bless this family. All of them are in my thought's and prayers.

Jamie, Joe's daughter, is a dear friend of mine. I too am crushed that they would call off a search without an answer or end. I pray that the efforts of those that are still searching find a resolution for the family. To those that are helping in the area, please don't stop. The family needs to know what has happened. God Bless.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Even though the formal search has ended, the Chippewa Sheriff's department continues to look for my Dad and his dog, Chip. Our family will continue to follow-up any leads and search the area by the North Country Pathway. It is so good to know that all of you are praying for us and please know that your love will keep us going.

According to 9 & 10 news, Chip has been found sitting on the porch of the cabin. He is described as being very thin.

Husband just heard on the radio (probably a Grayling station) that the search is going to resume. Apparently someone received two credible tips.

Anyone have any details?

I have been following this horrible mystery and I sure hope that the resuming of the search in October will provide an answer for you, Lorraine and Dorothy. I can still picture Joe at Sister Helen Sohn's Jubilee at Houghton Lake. He has such a warm manner about him. All of the Somerville Cousins thoughts and prayers have been with you. Take care of yourselves.

I had heard there was going to be a couple of searches this spring. Did any new info pop up? I hope that some closure can be brought to you and your families. I have followed this since day one as I have friends and family in the area.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Cancer

You feel the urge to move onward, powered by your wisdom: when you're right, you're right. You may feel that any further explanation is unnecessary, but the people you're dealing with might need it spelled out for them. Take the time to draw a picture or use smaller vocabulary words to get your point across, Cancer. A public demonstration will probably prove to be the last word on the subject.
