Bamabell, I'm sorry, but you're diving me nuts. The way you spell the word is "innocent."

If a person feels that they were treated unfairly by a judge or by a lawyer, you have the right to complain to the Alabama State Bar.Their phone number is in the book. Chilton county is a growing county with growing pains. The legal system has yet to catch up to the growth.I am not making excuses for any one but there are days that the system does not have time to be as polite or as kind as we wish. There are time that the Judge can seem to be short tempered or just down right rude. You have to remember that they have seen and heard just about every excuse for anything some one has done or not done. Judges do not like any one coming into their court trying to "work the system." Now,that being said,I agree that it seems that it is not always fair in our eyes, but, justice will prevail. It is not a perfect system but it is the only system we have.
there should not be days that are different because some is ill or is having a bad day it should be innocent until proven gulty that is not the way chilton county works we need to get a grip!!!

Well, I just found this page and I am so glad to know I am not alone in regards to the way I feel about the justice system in Chilton County. They do make up their on rules and if you have enough money then you can get away with just about anything!! But, if you ever cross one of them, then you have crossed them all!! I am one that speaks my mind and tells it how I see it. I have spoken out against the Justice system in Chilton County several times and I have written into the State Bar Association. The State Bar Association compliant was a joke....I honestly believe they send out a standard form letter to anyone who writes and complains. I have a story or two myself but, I will just leave it at that. I want the ones to that feel the same as I do to know they are not alone. I still hold out hope that I will live long enough to see a change in the way Chilton County's justice system is handled. Maybe, they can get some judges and district attorney's that do not hold personal grudges. Good Luck to all.

Several years ago I broke my leg and had to have surgery to repair it. After several weeks of being shut up in the house with my leg propped up they finally gave me a walking boot to wear so I could get up and move around. I wore it for a week or so and decided that I was ready for bigger things.
I managed to get my four wheeler out and took it off down the local dirt road for a while. Shortly after I left, I met one of our County officers on the dirt road. He turned around and pulled me over and wrote me a ticket for riding on the road. Took me a bit but he finally allowed me to ride it back home without it being impounded.
Summer came and one Saturday I loaded up my dogs in my truck to ride them a bit. Came down the hill over at Pearl Lake and around the curve and lo and behold, there were 4 officers sitting on the dam of the lake, on 4wheelers and enjoying a few beers. One was the same that wrote me up for riding mine on the dirt road. I just eased by them all the while staring at him. He knew what I was thinking I'm sure. Just shows you that there are laws for the common man and laws for those above us in Chilto County.

Well I live in Clanton as long as you stay out of trouble you won't be around any judges or lawyers. I love the judges in this town nobody's perfect but the judges you talk about will help anyone even if they don't know you or your family .
