your teaching your children not to accept change, change happens every minute of every day. Middle school is just a stepping stone to life and your making way to much out of a business decision. Teach your children to accept and meet the cahllanges of life not to fight them.

It't time the parents and students of Chester Middle "Build a bridge and get over it!" They obviously do not have a child already attending Thomas Dale, or they would be more understanding. Thomas Dale is about to split at the seams and with Fort Lee expanding, it will become more crowded, with no other possible relief in sight in the near future. I think that the best choice has been made.

Let's get on with our lives.

What is this really all about? Lack of vision, lack of management skills, lack of fiscal responsibility, stubborn egos, petty turf battles, "Good Ole'Boyism" gone wild, and a mountain of wrong data & projections that led to where we are right now!! The two main culprits?...Marshal Trammel and Dorothy Jaeckle. I will do all I can to see that they are replaced as soon as possible.

To be fair I can tell you many of the parents involved in the "fight" have kids at Chester Middle and Thomas Dale. They just do not want their school closed. Nobody denies that TD is over-crowded and while I believe the right decision was made, I admire them for advocating for their kids. I hope the community can come together again after this is resolved finally for good. And I believe at that point they will help their children to accept the change and deal with the challenges it poses for them.

That's an old school. I went there in the 1970s and it was a longtime Chester institution then. Granted, I don't know all the ins & outs behind the decision, but I am wondering why they didn't chop-up the other 2 schools instead (of Chester Middle)??

Ps. How many of you reading this remember Lewis & Clark? I'm not talking about the explorers either.
