State peach crop may not be as bad as predicted

“We were looking at maybe a one-two punch of a late-season freeze followed by an intensifying drought, but early in June we did get some truly crop-saving rains from one of the tropical systems”

South Carolina's peach crop is expected to fare better than the dire predictions made after a late spring freeze and worsening drought conditions, officials said today. via The Greenville News

who makes these predictions??how come they are never right?? are they eviormentalists wachos??their predictionsare never right also.maybe they read the same tea leaves!! its to bad that their predictions effect prices and scare the is clear that they need new people to eval crops and give accurate predictions not looking at cristal balls
