This young man had the world ahead of him...He came from a background, that financially, left alot to be desired. He had won the Newberry Award, and had a FULL four year ride to Clemson University....Do you believe any person, who is not in need of mental help, would give all of this up for a few minutes of fame? This scholarship and his brains would have given him things he would have never been able to achieve on his own. I think this whole situation is so sad..

my heart goes out to the parents of this boy. they must be devastated beyond belief. thank god they acted when they did instead of hiding their heads in the sand, they saved a lot of lives.
