Anyone Here Remember....Murders in late 60's-Strangler

I was just a small kid in a small SC town...late 60's there was a strangler on the loose in and around Gaffney,SC...I lived in a small town-Chesnee--not far from there. Does anyone remember this case and how many people were killed? I know they caught the guy---don't remember his name. I was small but I can remember my parents would not let us out of their sight at the time. Thanks

Wasn't born yet, but I have heard the story many times in my life. I live in Gaffney now and you can pick up the book "Gaffney Strangler" at the museum on college dr. and that will answer all your questions.

I have read about the strangler. I live in Gaffney and lots of people changed their ways after he came around because people knew him and did not realize he was a killer.

I was about 14 and lived in Cowpens.I remember a little white dog'and a woman thrown down a well'a girl was found under the bridge on Love Springs rd.The guy worked in a mill in Gaffney and drove a black 57 chevy.He was cut to death with a razor blade while in prison.

where were those two young girls shot a few years ago? along the country road/ waht state? maybe he has moved to this area?

responce to SAY WHAT in Pittsburgh' no 'the guy has not moved there. He is dead. He died in prison at the hands of another prisoner with a razor blade.
