Are they stupid? The site selection process is over. This is just all about closing the cycle in general.

They are as mentally challenged as the Santa Fe and Albuquerque protestors. God forbid anything mover near Roswell that would get more press than the nightly gangland drivebys. |

Confused, the $1.1M study has been completed and the results were presented recently. But there are 11 sites across the US trying to win the bid for a plant. The other study site in NM is near Hobbs. As for resistence in Roswell, there are only a few people voicing there opinion and do not represent the whole community.

The 11 sites are no longer trying to win the bid for a plant. The DOE took a huge step backward and is basically saying "hey, do you want to recycle or not?"- there's no longer any official site selection process.
Long story short, the protestors in Roswell have nothing to worry about. |

I would like to hear the long story... please. I just completed reading the GNEP PEIS and it seems like DOE has already made its selection. What can you add to this?

way back in the ealy 60's there were 12 atlas i.c.b.m. missle sites around roswell.each carried a 1.1 megaton yield thermonuclear warhead.ther were at least 3 explosions(non nuclear) in those silos with warheads in place when they practiced fueling.i could see the one north of town all the way from roswell high school 20 miles away.my point is how much plutonium, how much highly enriched uranium was spread in those accidents?several of my friends died of leukemia afew years later.war is the real danger in our lives.

Roswell fails to see where it will enhance the economy of the city. It will help Roswell.
