It was a blessed occurrance this weekend. The bad dirt people were at this Festival of Herons. The streets is Jamestown were free from fleas and there were families walking on the streets until 11 p.m. No crime or loud music at all in Jamestown this weekend last.

Whoa whoa whoa haters, before you go bashing a music festival, know that the Heron has a center for children activities (sorry Paul the Pedo, not your kind of activities). The Heron has drugs sure, but unless you go looking for them, they generally don't find you. As form why this festival is allowed to continue, its the same reason the Q remains open.

This take the prize for "Most Ignorant Crap I've Read Today". One arrest, ONE ARREST... and it's a "drug fest"?

As for your last sentence, there is so much stupid in those 10 words I don't even know where to start. LEO don't MAKE the rules fuckwit... they enforce them. Did you get past the 5th grade? I think not.

You are obviously too stupid to realize the context of this. Fuckwit represented his or herself to be "educated", yet can't differentiate between "then" and "than"..... don't you find that hilarious? I sure do, and English is my second language. LMAO.

I must agree! But if you have ever seen any of their "boys" it doesn't surprise me one bit. I would actually run the line that the cops pay them to push their wears since they all seem to be above the law, wearing shirts with the name of their group, even openly stating where they will be pushing at and who will have the product. But on the other hand, jamestown cops can't solve any other cases why would I believe they could clean up this pile of crap
Will never learn

Police Checkpoint At Great Blue Heron Nets Multiple Charges

SHERMAN - A State Police checkpoint outside the Great Blue Heron Music Festival yielded multiple charges Sunday.

Raymond Westbrook, 43, of Pittsburgh, Pa., was taken into custody after driving through the road check on Waites Corners Road while intoxicated, State Police said. Westbrook, who had two children in the vehicle, failed numerous field sobriety tests. He was transported to police barracks in Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .19 percent.

Westbrook was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and two counts of violating Leandra's Law for driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle. He was arraigned in Sherman Town Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

Also charged Sunday were Kyle Conn, 23, of Franklin, Pa., and Amanda Clark, 25, of Madison, Maine, with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Following a road check, troopers seized 20 grams of marijuana, cellophane containing 1 gram of opium, a bag containing a half-gram of amphetamine and two bags containing ecstasy.

Conn and Clark were processed at police barracks and arraigned in Sherman Court. Both were remanded to County Jail.

Brian Howell, 26, of Littleton, Colo., was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana. Troopers stopped a vehicle on Waites Corners Road for a loud exhaust and could smell a strong odor of marijuana.

Howell, a front-seat passenger, was allegedly found with at least 50 grams of marijuana and $1,700. He was arraigned and remanded to jail.

Tonawanda resident Adam O'Connor, 30, was taken into custody Sunday after troopers found a jar containing 1 gram of marijuana, a pill bottle containing marijuana and a foil wrapper containing three acid tablets. O'Connor was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was arraigned in Sherman Court and remanded to County Jail.

Wade Benford, 32, of Buffalo, was charged with driving while intoxicated after failing numerous field sobriety tests. He was transported to police barracks where he provided a breath sample of .14 percent.

Benford was issued appearance tickets to be in Sherman Court at a later date and released to a sober individual.

Police say the large number of charges have become commonplace near the annual music festival.

"We expect it. I think a lot of people living in the area expect it," said State Police Sgt. Scott Thayer of the number of arrests. "People expect police to be there, and the owners of the festival are glad we are there."

Thayer said most are charged as they leave the festival and come across a road check. "We get all sorts of different stuff," he said.
