What is the difference between voluntary manslaughter and murder ?

The difference is whatever the "law" wants it to be. Look at the Mary Winkler case. She shot her sleeping husband in the back and gave the "abuse excuse"(she claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse). She cried in court, and the jury believed her and felt sympathy for her. She got off easier than a man would. With the police, it is the same thing, a double standard. http://news.mensactivism.org/
