I stand behind the man in Casey Co. for his statue of the president...It is not about hating a man...He is disgusted with the outcome of so much that has gone wrong for Americans since Obama's election and re-election as president. So many Americans know so much more then the average person about our government and how things are changing.....especially the older generation who are a real part of this nations history. Greed in the white house is bringing Americans to their knees....So many of us cannot stand the new higher taxes, higher fuel, food and medical costs...etc....however, government workers plug right along with their pay increases and perks, paid holidays, vacation, etc.....If you are offended by this mans statue, in my opinion you are a coward, narrow minded and uninformed...read the constitution, this man does nothing wrong. If more people do not ban together and be heard we are in for a long and harder road then what is being traveled now. This president has torn our country apart more than any other white president has ever in our history...I do not think it is because of his skin color though, it is just the type of man he is.....

It is not against the law to be racist.....I personally do not agree with racism...but I believe to each his own. This is still America isn't it?

His hat said Vietnam Veteran. If he is a vet. Then leave him the heck alone. He has fought for his country, so he should be allowed to make fun or joke about his country in any shape form or fashion that he desires. Besides I have seen every president made in my lifetime made fun of and belittled but god forbid we crack a joke about the half black president that is currently in office. What if he had hung a guitar around his neck? Would that still be considered racist? Or would that be picking at the white genes that he posesses? Or would it be considered another black racist remark because the guitar originated in Africa just like the watermelon was. If that is as far as this ballsy american goes. Well wait till he does something before we persecute him.

Now since this man chose to make a "statement" about this President, He now has the state liberals on his butt for his expression. I don't like this kind of expression nor have I liked the expressions of the press about some other Presidents and public officals. If you don't agree with the press then something is wrong with you or you are a racist. The press protects the President and his bunch of cronies like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi so get used to losing your right to freedom of speech and expression.

Wrong Danny Hafley. There are 2 in Casey County. One is a convicted felon, the other (my dad) is not.

If he is a veteran then he should have more respect for the Office of the Presidency! No matter who is president.

Also, I am not sure that the comment is right in this magazine regarding 'most people in Casey County' not being prejudice. Many are and did not vote for President Obama more because he is black than because he is a Democrat. Unfortunately we (this country, and especially certain parts of it) have a history of denigrating one group so that another group can feel better about themselves.

People should vote for candidates for office, whether local office, state office or federal office, based on the political stand of the candidate, not on what race they are or if they are male or female. Otherwise we are just appealing to our own worst instincts and regressing instead of progressing as humans - yes, and as Christians, too, for those who hold up a bible while spewing hatred - thats an abomination in and of itself.
