His family probably took off because they were on the verge of being caught and deported. I want to know why if they were here illegally that anyone would feel bad for the family? The kid was caught because the family abandoned him, that's not illegal.
We have teenagers who are kicked out of homes now, they have no place to go and very little services. I know of one young man where is family just left they weren't interested in helping him or even caring about what would happen to him.
Just goes to show you that people don't have children out of love and commitment in a relationship anymore. They are conceived with the thought of a paycheck in mind and nothing else. That is a large reason why they are on the street, they are unwanted. I feel so sad for these children. They are not shown love and want in their homes, they are more than likely being abused in some fashion or other and the streets look better to then. Then the gangs find them show them a sense of belonging and love and they end up involved in criminal activity and become a burdon on society.

As far as illegals risking everything to come here, that is crap. It is the easy way out, instead of standing up to their corrupt governments to make changes they come here, work and use our systems and send the money back to their native counties where they will return once they have decided they have gotten enough....I do not feel sorry for them.

I see a revolution needed for this country soon as well, our government is so corrupt and greedy - regular citizens are not going to take it much longer.

You sound like an idiot! Legal immigrants are welcome - as they showed respect for this country and its laws. Illegals have no respect, they only want what they can get for free without putting in the effort to get it legitamatily (sp). Immagrants of all heritages, bring great and different cultures to this country. The ones who do it legally deserve our respect and encouragement to continue to enrich this great nation of ours. We do not need any more law breakers no matter how they break the law. I am sorry, come correct or don't come at all.
Brother Hard-on most migrants come to better themselves, and work hard, to earn a better life in the land of oppurtunity. You can't think all are bad, get a life dork.

And how much do illegal immigrants impact health insurance premiums? Why are we importing poverty in the form of LEGAL immigration, i.e., 1.2 million annually?

34 percent of immigrants lack health insurance, compared to 13 percent of natives. Immigrants and their U.S.-born children account for 71 percent of the increase in the uninsured since 1989--

I have a life dork....its working paying taxes so illegals can suck the system dry. If they want to come then come the proper way, and don't start crying to me about how hard it is, I know, I have been a part of the process and it sucks, but the pay off is legal residency....fool!
