Why wasn't an amber alert issued? Is this man related to the child? Prayers go out to this little girl and her family.

Amber alert or not why do they assume the child is "in danger" with her father? If theres a reason to think that the OK but not just because he defied a court order or something and took his daughter. If they use an amber alert for things like that then they need a whole different alert name for kids that were taken by total strangers that arent acted upon seriously enough because of all these cries of wolf.

Right on. Another divorce custody dispute.

Maybe the "father" or who ever this person is might be involved in some sort of criminal activity but if she is in danger why not issue a amber alert?

There are specific criteria that must be met to activate an amber alert.

an amber alert should be activated....

An abducted child must be under 18 years of age.

The abduction poses a credible threat of immediate danger of serious bodily harm or death to a child.

A law enforcement agency determines that the child is not a runaway and has not been abducted as a result of a child custody dispute, unless the dispute poses a credible threat of immediate danger of serious bodily harm or death to the child.

There is sufficient descriptive information about the child, the abductor, and the circumstances surrounding the abduction to indicate that activation of the alert will help locate the child.
The plan is limited to "abducted" children, and, therefore, excludes children believed to be runaways or throwaways from home.

Heres an educated guess. The fat mat took the child to hold for a ransom so he could feed his need for McDonalds

they could give a better description of the vehicle. Like what kind of white dodge, a truck, van, car, and what model, and the licience plate is it the new ones or is it the red white and blue ones.

And when this little girl grows up, she'll have tattoos and a dumb ugly husband and she'll divorce and feud and fight over HER daughter and the taxpayers will have to pay for all of it and until we're all reduced to paupers.

How about poor people are morons alert? How about a ugly tattoo alert? I know - what about a "never got the message on basic dental hygene alert"? We can't keep paying police overtime and social workers and free food stamps and this and that until we're all broke trying to take care of people WHO ARE THEIR OWN WORST ENEMIES. It's time to cut these people loose to fend for themselves - those of us who have jobs just can't afford to carry them anymore.

I am sure they took all the circumstances in consideration & that is why they did not do the amber alert. Like a previous person said, IF they do an amber alert for every little thing people will become desentisized because a lot would turn out to be a misunderstanding between parents, the result of an argument that resolves once they calm down & other 'petty' reasons adults get themselves into.
It is best to do amber alerts when danger is truly suspected because you want people to watch out for the kids. Besides, if this case is not as 'minor' as they seem to think they can always upgrade it to an amber alert.
You just don't want to panic when it could be as simple as one parent saying he would pick up their kid at school & the other parent had their mind on something else & did not pay attention... It happens.

Lots of us are tired and stressed and the worker bees are weary of caring for those who won't fend for themselves. This child did not ask to be brought into the world and is not to blame for her plight. So no alert issued, no child found. Then what?
