Seriously, who types these things up? 3rd graders?

Use some punctuation with your run-on sentences so that your educated readers can decipher what you are saying.

And the word is "accepting", not "excepting".

Where did the writer of this article go to college for their editorial skills? Brazil?

it was hard to read in the article that they advised the mother to pull the plug!?! can you believe that they even suggested that.. mother knew best of course and had the correct feeling and didnt do it and look at him today!!! he will probably make almost a full recovery and will probably begin to speak again.. he is only 9 he has MANY years/REST of his life in front of him to recover and work his way back to health--and to think that they suggested "pulling the plug" thats not only sick, thats sad!

I had the pleasure of meeting and taking care of Luke at a summer camp for the past two years and I can honestly he's progressed so much within the past two years. A true testament to the perseverance of both his family and Luke himself. His mother is a wonderful lady and as shown in the video she really does help him to do things on his own. I'm very glad I got to know them

Do you have anything better to do with your time than criticize people?

My apologies. I didn't realize my comment was going to Topix. I actually believed it was going to WFMZ's feedback page. It was misleading.

Please disregard. Thank you.:)

When I see these women who abuse their kids, or let their "boyfriends" hurt their children,I get furious.Lori is only doing what a mother should do. I'm sure to her it's just her love of her child, but no one had to tell her to protect her son.I bet there was never a question of taking care of him.A mother should always protect their children. Maybe Lori should be used as an example of how to be a real Mom.When these abusers go to court they should see this article and be told "this is how to take care of your children."I pray for the family.

Wow is what comes to my mind when I think of Luke. What an amazing lil man he is. I got the chance to work with Luke for a few months @ a special needs school in New Jersey. What a joy this lil boy was. EVERYONE from staff to kids took to Luke. I mean how could you not. He offered his friendship to all who would accept it. He never complained about doing PT,OT or any other job put in front of him. He always put 120% into it and always want to keep working. He taught me no matter what , live is always worth living.I learned from Luke fighting hard will get you further,a positive attitude will make you stronger and to never give up even when things seem tough. To accept things we can not change.Yep one special lil man . He will always own a special place in my heart.

I am a friend of Lori's and also a neighbor and I have spent time with Luke. I played video games with him at the arcade and went swimming with him and I just adore this child. He does understand everything and is a very happy child. He brightens up my day because he always has a huge smile on his face! I give Lori a ton of credit for not giving up and for the tremendous achievements that she has accomplished with Luke. Lori, keep up the good work and Luke you keep smiling because your amazing! Love you both- Tina Storm
