This is ridiculous that they are tearing down a very historical part of the city of Lansford. It is part of the history for almost everyone who lives in the city and it is not fair to the city to be doing this. I have moved away from the city but i remember how the city was and then look at it today and realize what a dump the city has turned into. People coming into the city are slowly ruining the city and tearing down the history of the city is how they are doing it. Pretty soon there won't be any history left and it is a crying shame.

I grew up in Lansford, and attended St. Ann's Grade School until I graduated from the 8th Grade. Yes, the very sight of that convent brought back alot of memories. Personally, they should have found a way to say that old structure but it is a moot point now.

I looked at the property. The old convent was too big for a family of four to six people. The building was also in need of roof repairs, interior repairs and it had an old coal furnace that probably needed to be replaced. Finally, I did not know what it would cost to heat the place.

Then, what could you do with the old school?

As for history...we do not need history in Lansford. We need lower school taxes and lower borough taxes.

You actually said "we don't need history in Lansford" ! Could you tell me exactly where you do think history is needed ? You attend any classes in school ? You even go to school ?
