Start charging a fee...the rif raf that crap in the water will stop coming....no more crap in the water. They shouldn't try to blame it on the geese and rain. Why does it only happen when the park gets crowded ..... because the pigs drop their sh*t in the water while swimming. PIGS !! This is not a 3rd world country where we use the tides to take our crap out to sea !! USE THE RESTROOMS !!(and wipe your a$$ and wash your hands)

Blue Marsh-$3.00 per car.
222 south to the sinking springs exit. Turn right at light. Drive straight until you see the Sheetz gas station on your right. Follow the signs.

Much better than Beltzville!!!!!!!!!

Goose crap? Are you kidding? Yeah, the always-politically-correct Morning Call strikes again. There were never bacteria problems at Beltzville until the animals started getting bussed in. Charge a fee so the animals go away and the original inhabitants don't have to swim in fecal water.

Same "pigs" that are trashing Allentown. That's all I'll say about that.

Every year, same story and we all know what the problem is, just listen to the music as you stroll along the beach area, that will give you a clue.

If people of all nationalities would have enough sense to keep their infants and toddlers out of the water without the proper swimwear this would not be a recurring thing at the park, and in the end once again the taxpayers will be footing this bill.

Noone that lives in the area will go to Beltzville. Everyone stopped going there years ago when all the dirt started coming in. So whoever enjoys swimming in water filled with feces, you just keep going there and enjoy it.
I'm sure there are a number of times this will be shut down again this summer.

It's a shame, it use to be such a nice place to go. Now all u see if families letting their children in the water with no diapers, and then u see the diapers floating in the water. Close the park for a season, clean it up and then charge to get in, and patrol the place and hand out fines for the crap they do.

I agree with the majority of the comments here. I'm from Palmerton and can remember going to Beltzville as a kid when it was nice and not overcrowded with dirtbags who were brought in on buses. I would never swim in that water now. Mauch Chunk lake charges a minimal fee (like $2.00) and manages to keep the scum out. It's a shame that I will not be able to enjoy the lake with my kids someday as I once enjoyed it as a youngster. We all know it's not from rain water drainage ot geese--it's time to tell it like it is folks!!

I remember going to Beltzville when I was a little boy. I continued to going there during my teens. What a beautiful place it was.
I took my son there last year and nobody spoke English! The only way I would go back is with the Nation Guard!

I think the geese and rain are to blame for the crime wave in the LV also.

Another summer, another instance of baby Sht in the water.

Going to Beltzville Beach is like swimming in a public toilet.
