Leave them alone! You brownshirts need to worry about yourselves and your own messes. Mankind has been crappin in the woods since, well, the dawn of man.

This is down right lunacy. Now the nazi's are even regulating basic bodily functions...whats next? If a farmer wants to relieve himself in the field, along with the rest of the animal kingdom, why not?

You enviroweenies should be up in arms...here is a group that lives greener than anyone else and you just sit back and do nothing.

Do you know what kind of chemicals go into that blue solution? Do you know how many of those fabled carbon thingys are created in the making of the chemicals, the trucks, the hoses, the driver (after taco bell lunch) and so on and so on?

Morons.

Yes, now we all know for sure, 100% positive, that common sense has no place in the liberal court systems.

Liberals. Ha! you would think that they would be all over this grievous injustice against a minority. The "man" is forcing these poor, innocent minorities and no one is helping them with their cause.

Oh wait. They are "ultra conservative" and of western european decent...two strikes against them so why would the aclu or anyone else liberal enough to demand the right to murder a halfborn life, yet stand idle when a group of people are downtrodden and kicked around for the henious crime of pinchin a loaf...

The amish hypocrite jerks only follow their rules when it is convenient for them...

-They don't believe in technology, but they have web sites, advertising the crap they SELL.

-They don't believe in telephones, but they gladly answer a phone when you are calling to BUY something from them.

-They don't believe in modern transportation, but would have no problem using it to ship good that you BUY.

-They DON'T pay taxes or give their "employees" benefits (a proven fact), but they don't mind making PROFITS.

I could go on and on. Face it, there is no place in this world for selfish, lying, cheating losers like the amish. If they want to live in their own fairy tale world, that's fine, but don't bend the rules when it is only profitable for you!

Like someone said in an earlier post, their selfish, backwards behavior hurts the rest of us, the real contributors in society. Their old-fashioned ways--not believing in modern medicine or modern ways--puts the rest of society in danger and THAT'S NOT FAIR!

We need more West Nickel Mines Schools. Go away Amish and never come back!!!!!!

Plus, they are the main culprits behind puppy mills. You can't get much lower than that.

And they enjoy all the freedoms non-amish Amreicans have fought and died for but don't have the guts to fight and die for what they enjoy.

And they don't pay any taxes but use the road system that the rest of us pay for.

Screw them! Animal-abusing, dirty users and breeders. Who needs 'em?

WOuld you like to have a nice glass of well water from on or near this AMish farm? How about a nice home-grown tomato grown in human waste. The Amish are about money, and greed. They hide behind their "plain ways" to conceal what matters the most to them, which is money. I bet they have more money stashed in those modern banks, sucking up the intrest, then most people. It's not about being an environmentalist or a tree hugger. It's plain common sense, the AMish are educated to the 8th grade, so they mostly likely have no idea that what they are doing is hazardous to not only their health but others around them. Don't be fooled by what they "claim" to be ( good Christian people).

All I know about them is what is in the news, so I can not comment on your claims, or the other person who seems to dislike them very much.

What did everyone do before plumbing? How many outhouses did each house have before toilets?

My point is that this is crazy - it is an OUTHOUSE for petes sake. Everything that comes from the earth returns to the earth.

I am willing to bet that their well water is cleaner than city water.

Regardless of what kind of people they are or are not, the issue is forcing these people into paying a contractor to pump out a portapotti.

You know what the military does? Ever heard of field latrines? Gvt says that it must be 100 yards from the chowhall. Now, one gvt standard is too lax, and this new standard imposed upon them is too harsh.

Common sense, no?
