Ummmm... I thought we were talking about Mike Ward. What's this got to do with the price of eggs in China! Susan must be a pretty busy woman to be both an FBI agent and a KBI agent!!! Wow! Maybe she's also a Superhero!!

You are a complete moron Beautiful and you prove it more and more with each post.

Even though he's human there are certain jobs that demand strict compliance with the laws. The job I'm in, I would lose my job immediately if I had a D.U.I. I've been made fully aware of this & if I choose not to abide then I knew in advance my job was at stake, & I have no right to complain. Anyone in these types of jobs knows this, you cannot effectively, fairly prosecute someone else for something you wiggled out of yourself. I don't know this Prosecutor or the circumstances, if he paid his due like every other citzen then justice was served in that aspect, but it dosen't change the fact that as a Prosecutor he's lost his creditabilty & ability to effectively prosecute other for the same offence.
I agree. There are certain jobs which demand a higher expectation of appropriate behavior. Is it fair? Debatable. But it is what it is. Prosecutors should NOT be allowed to break the law, nor should other officers of the court. It is their duty to uphold the law, not break it.

Pastors, court officers (judges, lawyers and such), police officers, firemen, etc. are held to a higher standard of behavior. They should be. These are the people we put our faith and trust in to protect and lead. When they fail at this, or when they go out and break the law ultimately resulting in this type of situation, they should be asked to leave their position if they refuse to resign. If they do not want to be in a position where their job security is reflected by their public and private behavior, then perhaps they should have sought out careers elsewhere. There is nothing wrong with working in retail or in the fast food industry. I believe any honest job is perfectly acceptable. However, if you don't want someone demanding your resignation based on your public behaviour, work at McDonald's not as a prosecutor.

Although I feel much sorrow for Mike Ward's family and the stresses they are facing, I know from a personal experience several years ago that Mr. Ward is not capable of effectively representing any one. We were forced to use his services as the local prosecutor at the time;and, after months of wasting our time, there was no proper resolution to our problem...he simply gave up the case because it would have been difficult for him to win without extreme effort. His "record" of no losses at that time were more important to him, apparently. Because of his ineffective representation, we later were faced with having to hire other lawyers to resolve a related incident which cost us so much both in time and money! This situation continue to plague us for almost two years during which time I,myself was diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment. So, Mr. Ward has used his recent cancer diagnosis as an excuse for his drinking/driving? I do hope his treatment for this disease is more effective for him than his representation of us was at the time. Again, my hopes/prayers are for his family during this difficult time, but I think the readers of this post will certainly understand my views concerning his resignation from office, too.

I know Mike Well hr prosecuted me in 1982 and I must say he was fair. Today I do not condone drinking and driving and as a Christian I think we should forgive Mike and pray for him and his family and I hope that Mike knows the Lord and that he wilk forgive him. Mike should tuck in his pride and step down he has served Marshall and Calloway Counties really well but now is the time to step down and take care of him self. Job well down Mike you thaught me a big lesson in 82 thank you God Bless You Sir ( Take care of yourself now you have earned the time to slow down) Be at peasce. RDB

i personally don't know mike ward and even though i don't agree with drunk driving and am very much against it, i have to stop and wonder about if i was diagnosed with cancer, what would my reaction be?i doubt very seriously i would be thinking clearly and i doubt very seriously that mike ward was thinking clearly either.
he needs to quit charging people for doing the same thing, and get on disability, like most people who have cancer.i have a niece, who was 8 years old, and was killed by a drunk driver.she never got a chance to become a prosecuting attourney, because of the likes of him!doubt that,"very seriously".

So the message that is being sent out is that it's okay to drive drunk and put innocent peoples lives at risk as long as you have cancer!!
