Maybe if they would sell some of the dozens of cars each district owns (my estimate from looking at the board office parkinglots) they could save a little money... The insurance, fuel, etc that it costs our schools to own such a fleet could be retargeted to education. Go to each district's website and look at the tens of thousands of $$$ spent on travel, hotels, meals, and so on.

That may be true. Someone should look into that. I'm sure there are tons of ways everyone and every business could save lots of money if they did common sense things. We should start seeing more "inventive" ways of saving money in the coming times, with the recession and all.
