Yes that is what happened. He was already dead in the back seat when they wrecked. I am not sure if they were trying to wreck in hope that the police and med crew wouldn't be able to tell he was murdered or if they were just driving wrecklessly with him dead in their back seat. This is proof that criminals are not smart. When transporting a body you should really drive more carefully.

Where was the Sheriff's department in this investigation? They probably put it off on KSP. as usual. There was a time when KSP did very little in Calloway county. Times do change!

The driver was Kayla workman, married to the passenger, Jyson Workman - called Casper to those that knew him. The dead boy in the back seat was Donald Scandell.

A friend that knew them said that they were all into pills and meth. So likely drugs had something to do with the killin.

It's all sad. The girl is complicit maybe, if Donald was killed and then put into the car. My friend said that Donald was tied up with weights attached to him, like they were gonna dispose of the body in the lakes or ponds. That may be rumor.

But the girl was too young to deserve being involved. She obviously didn't know who and what she was involved in.

Jayson however, was a dirt bag that had viable opportunities to keep his life on track but chose drugs over anything else.

Yes the State police was involved, as they are with any murder in Ky.

Given the investigation likely we won't hear the facts of what happen till after sentencing.

I have no knowledge of anyone involved what so ever, however i do know that when you turn 18 years of age, you are an adult and completely responsible for your own life and your own choices. Being a young age does not excuse you from irreprehensible acts upon another human being or being involved in such acts!

It's really kind of scary. I recognize "Casper" from around town and being at my son's school during school functions, I guess with the girl that was driving and her kid? their kid?

She is over the age of 18, and you say she was too young to deserve being involved? She knew what she was doing when she got into a car with a dead body and was driving with it in the back seat. She should have known it was wrong! She made a choice. But, on the other hand she may have crashed on purpose so that her husband would get caught, he may have treatened her and made her drive. Age has nothing to do with what happened or whether or not she deserves being involved. Hopefully, the truth will come out when she gets out of the hospital. My prayers go out to the family of the young man who lost his life.

For all any of us "outsiders" know, she was threatened by her husband. And if she had just seen what was capable of (stabbing a guy to death), then without a doubt she would have taken any threats seriously. Uncontrolled driving could imply the sense of panic she was feeling, plus if her husband was yelling at her while she drove, she could have been getting even more nervous, and the distraction of a dead guy in the back seat. It's all speculation on my part, but I really get irritated with people who make such assumptions about a case, assuming guilt of people present who may very well have been there against their own will. And I highly doubt this was planned.

Bullshit. This is the problem with todays society, its always someone elses fault or there is always some sort of excuse. The whole "I know I did it, but...this is why I'm not to blame" makes me sick. The fact of the matter is, she chose to participate in an illegal activity no matter what the circumstances might have been. Its called a choice, and she made the choice to help transport, and probably would have disposed of, a murdered human being. The actions we, as members of society, involve ourselves in are either right or wrong. There is no grey area. There is no "I know it was wrong but..." People wonder why murderes and child molesters go free sometimes, well this is the reason. Laws are made to either be followed or broken, and if someone breaks them then they deserve what they get.

Let me clarify one thing. The only way I can see that anyone could be an unwilling participant in such an act is if they had a gun to their head and had absolutely no choice but to do so. If this was the case then so be it, if it isnt then she had an opportunity not to participate.
