Democratic consultant did not violate state law, Texas Ethics Commission rules.

An Internet posting accusing Texas House of Representatives parliamentarian Terry Keel of involving himself in the Travis County district attorney's election did not violate the state's truth-in-political-advertising law, the Texas Ethics Commission has ruled.

Keel had complained that Austin consultant Kelly Fero, who was an adviser in the prosecutor's race last spring, misrepresented himself in an anonymous posting questioning Keel's neutrality in the election.
