this is good, but it sure would be nicer if folks just didn't litter. It's an unpunished crime in NC, it seems. The problem is still with us no matter how much trash volunteers pick up. Still, I will be out there with my stick and bag picking up other people's garbage.

It's actually a bigger problem in parking lots than on the highways. People will simply open the door, drop out the bag, and then drive off, leaving the trash for "someone else" to pick up.

The people who drop the baby diapers are the worst, imho, along with those that dump their car ashtrays.
