Ha Ha Ha Jones acts like he called the SBI LMAO I dont think so Jones. He allowed Jack to resign and planned on sweeping this one under the rug like all the other ones. Told you they were coming now get ready for the fallout. Glad to see the LNT doing some actual reporting for once, this new editor may turn out to be a good guy after all.

I thought I had seen in a prior post someone said they had contacted the SBI several weeks back in reference to this officers action..I'm curious, what is the relationship of CCSD and the SBI??I guess my question is, do you think the SBI can conduct a fair investigation of another LE agency?? I'm really not familiar with the state agencies reputation. Just curious

The media has given pass after pass on at least seven scandals in this inept department.
Some say what problems do we have over there, I have never heard anything in the news.
Well my friends misdeeds have and are happening and it is time to wake up before the election.

When the SBI gets a complaint about the sheriff, they take it to the sheriff, the sheriff reads it and throws it into the trash and they all have a big laugh. Only when it starts to mushroom out into other agencies, other areas and involve more people does a complaint even get the pretention of being taken seriously.

I was curious if complaints were taken seriously or if the SBI was part of the good ole boy system too. I really don't see or hear much the about SBI's reputation. I would think being a state bureau not as subject to local political influence they would tend to lean towards fact based investigations and not fall victim to local politics.

You've got to be kidding!!!
You can look it up for yourself if you don't believe me.
The SBI is a charter member of "good ole boy system"
Here is one article but there are hundreds of articles about the SBI fabricating evidence and doing shoddy work. Their lab is notorious for making evidence fit any theory an investigator needs it to fit. This article is about 230 cases!!!

The cost of these errors was tough for lawyers to comprehend Wednesday.

"This report reveals staggering lack of competence at the (SBI) lab," said Mike Klinkosum, a Raleigh lawyer who represented Taylor in February and helped discover Deaver's withheld test results. "It's an abomination of the criminal justice system and an affront to all the decent law enforcement officers out there doing their jobs

That's criminal in it's self, those involved in falsely modifying reports should face very stiff criminal charges and lengthy sentences. Who knows how many lives have been ruined by altered forensics.

If you look at this article you will see that in three of those 230 cases people had already been executed on fabricated evidence!!!

BTW: This article is from the Raleigh News&Observer not some rag newspaper. How many millions of dollars do you think this already has and will cost us taxpayers?

Jones is a liar, when faced with the fact that many others, including the press, knew about his sergeants illegal activities, the SBI contacted the sheriff. Oh yeah, I was just about to report that when you called!!!!!!!!!

Those SBI agents who fabricated the evidence should be charged with murder in the executions for convictions based on their fabricated evidence.

Just to show you how bad things are in Caldwell County let me point something out. We all know how bad the SBI is right? Well ccso detectives are such a joke that they have to call the SBI in on any major crimes that happen in the county lol. Don't you feel safe now.

Totally crazy.. I wonder what the average level of experience is for detectives at CCSD?? Seems like a high turnover rate which would lower the experience level drastically.. Is there any 15-20 year LE veterans in the detective division?? I'm not even sure who the detectives or head of detectives are now. I wonder what the overall experience level for the CCSD is compared to other area agencies ?

To my knowledge no. Nowhere near that many years of experience per detective with maybe the exception of a few like Martin but he is only there because he assaulted someone he had in custody as a road Lieutenant. I believe another one may be older but he was fired from another agency prior to coming to the department. The detective division out there has always been the place to go if you want a cushy set your own hours, do whatever you want job. If you suck up and play the politics game with Jones he will give you a detectives position whether you are qualified or not, if you are in good with him and you get in trouble on the road they also use the detective division as a place for you to go out of the public view while things cool down. As far as turnover goes, that place is a bigger revolving door than LPD was years ago.
