There are a few dogs in my neighborhood who treat my yard like a toilet and dig in the flower pots on my patio. One of them has growled at my five-year-old on multiple occasions. Their owners refuse to keep them contained.

Does anyone know if Huntington/Cabell County has laws forbidding this kind of thing? I can't find any online resources regarding this particular type of situation.

I believe Cabell County has a leash law; you might try calling the County Commission to ask.

OMgoodness yes... they love their dogs more than anything! They run loose run out in front of cars, poop in our yard , we walk outside and they stand and BARK and BARK like they are insane, but they love their dogs!! Well I don't love them! We need animal control to come out and stop and check, not expect the dogs to run and jump in the van as they drive by at 30 mph! Go figure.......And CATS..25 or 30 running around, getting in our garage, on our cars They are baby making machines. We don't have animals and if we did want them we would get our own! We DON't want yours... KEEP THM AT HOME! PLEASE....Mt Union Rd cabell county

I am on the other side of the fence. I have 2 small Boston Terriors, one is a on leash and one is not when they go out to potty. I love on a rural road and I have a neighbor that has called Animal Control 3 different times and they have came out every time. Today I come home from work and there is another note on my door, saying there was a complaint about one of my dogs was loose and unattended and please abide by the leash laws to avoid citation and impoundment of my dog. The worst thing my dog would do to you is lick you to death !!!!!
