it means alot when the family stands behing the addict...addiction is a disease and is hard to stay clean..u cant beat it but u can put it in "remission" just like cancer!!! I know because i am an addict and have been clean a short time but without the support of my family and my fiancee(who is also an addict) it is hard for both of us...if u they have someone who is always bashing them or the family is a user themselves and refuses to keep the drugs away from the addict than it makes it hard and there is a chance of relapse..if u know someone who is a recoverying addict be there supporter....not there deporter
