the jail isn't over crowded because of drunk drivers, i have set in court and watched repeat ovenders time after time get 12 month suspended sentence and unsupervised probation. there is a lady comoing to court on nov1st 2006 to face her fith dwi. 2 in 8 weeks this year and 3 in just over 2 years. her last was on revolked license for dwi and was told she will probably get 30 days at most. what a joke. and we wonder why so many people are killed by drunk drivers.

JUDGE KNOX MAY HAVE THE CHANCE TO SET AN EXAMPLE WITH DRUNK DRIVERS TOMORROW NOV 1ST. HE WILL HAVE IN HIS COURT ROOM A LADY CHARGED WITH HER 5TH DUI. IF SHE IS CONVICTED HE CAN SEND A MESSAGE BUT WILL HE. I BET NOT. SHE WAS CONVICTED OF NUMBER 4 ON APRIL 4TH JUST TO TURN AROUND AND GET CAUGHT AGAIN MAY 27TH FOR DWI, OPEN CONTAINER , DRIVING LEFT OF CENTER, AND NO LICENSE. THEY WERE REVOLKED FOR DWI JUST 7 WEEKS EARLIER. I BET SHE GETS NO MORE THAN 30 DAYS. WHEN WILL COURTS GET TOUGH. DON'T THINK THAT WILL EVER HAPPEN.

judge michal knox restored my faith in the courts today. stacy christenbury was concicted of all four charges today, dwi, no operators license, driving left of center and open container. she recieved 60 days active time, 48 months intense probation, 48 months house arrest, alchhol accesment treatment, 100 hours of comunity service over 2,000 dollars in fines plus court cost.it was time repeat drunk drivers be dealt with.

I THOUGHT WHEN YOU WERE SENTENCED TO JAIL , THAT THEY PUT YOU IN JAIL. STACY CHRISTENBURY RECIEVED AN 60 DAY ACTIVE SENTENCE FOR HER 5TH DWI CONVICTION, BUT 9 DAYS LATER SHE IS STILL FREE. WHY. I GUESS YOU GET TO SERVE AT YOUR CONVIENCE.

Hey David, sometimes it is difficult to spot, but when unjust sentences become common place, something else might be going on. The judge possibly has been touched by a friend of a friend of the guilty one. These judges get elected and they become untouchable.
