I don't believe it wrong to be a Christian and make good money. The parable of the talents backs up my belief however, extravagant living casts a negative light of materialism on a man that, should be a symbol of humility.

The Bible does say for us to test God in our giving but, that's not just cash that's our time, talents, possessions and love.

It's a promise I have personally benefited from and believe in thoroughly. This is also the only time I believe it is ok to challenge God to do anything for us.

Not every preacher on TV is a true Born Again Christian. Jim Bakker confessed he built PTL as a lost man and only received Christ after going to prison.

Some of them do seem to be in it only for the money and power. They give all Christians a bad name and will account for all the people they hurt and turn away from God because of their greed. Those that give though, will be rewarded.

Everyone needs to understand that, the lights have to be on in the church. The poor need to be tended. The Gospel costs money to be spread. Bibles, tracts,tv programs and other Christian activities do require money and are very worthy causes. Yet, some people get into the ministry for the wrong reasons like, growing the money tax free for their own benefits. Women tend to fall for these men of power and other Christians give them gifts and rewards that should go to the furtherance of the Gospel.

Maybe Mr. Cerullo needs a wake up call or maybe a little shame to recognize his error. Remember Pastors aren't perfect. They're still fleshly men and are still growing in Christ themselves.

I think Mr. Cerullo ought live much more modestly as to not even have an appearance of evil work in his life. Maybe he just hasn't learned that yet or maybe he thinks he deserves something for growing the ministry. That's flawed thinking for a man that should know better.

If a man or woman wants to be rich they should seek another avenue. Not do it on the back of God. That could be detrimental to his soul.
