Would someone please tell me what kind of idiot would leave a gun in a car - locked or unlocked?

Not only do you deserve to have your weapon stolen,
you should be banned from ever owning another one.
Your a danger to society ... How good will you feel when another type of idiot kills someone with your stolen weapon?
