I sincerely hope that the people of the 3rd district will be voting for Jack Lee in the upcoming election which will pick a successor to Rick Keene.
Rick Keene has done a great job representing the people of the 3rd district. I hope that conservative republicans and traditional libertarians will give Jack a fair hearing in the campaign season to come. Jack has real world experience in national defense, law enforcement, real estate, ranching, and politics. He is a man of principle and the kind of person I would trust to represent the hopes an aspirations that I have for my home town of Chico and the 3rd district as a whole. VOTE JACK LEE for Assembly. For more information on Jack and his positions check out Jackleeelection.com or "Post Scripts" at Norcal Blogs. |

As long as I have known Jack, I have been impressed with his dedication to our community and people. Jacks background has provided him with a grounded approach toward all his endeavourers and I trust his leadership would be modeled in the same manner. I also would encourage anyone concerned about the current appointed leadership , or lack of same would be more to the point, go to Jack Lee's website, Jackleeelection.com and learn more about Jack Lee. I have worked on political campaigns off and on since 1968. I am not easily impressed. Mr. Lee has a genuiness that impresses.

I've known Jack Lee for 50 years, and I'm only 61 now. In all that time, I have never known him to do anything dishonest or dishonorable. If there is a better man in this world, I haven't met him.

Don't know a person today that has more of an interest in the job than he has....lets give him the chance to represent us.

We can write off our once great state –or- we can fight to take it back from the special interests, the political bosses and the socialists. For decades, Jack has fought to protect our freedoms and led reforms, As a cop, as a military man, as a political activist, as a supporter of our troops and as a political commentator. We’re lucky that he’s willing to go to Sacramento to fight for a government that helps us protect our lives and our property. Who’ll fight against a government that wants to take freedom from us by more and more regulations, laws, spending, taxes. If this is important to you, then I suggest that you need to judge who you feel is the candidate who will really try to work for you and not just for special interests, for party bosses or for their own personal power and gain. If Jack wins, we Californians win, not the special interests, the political bosses and the socialists.

Jack has the politcal savy to be effective and the morals and ethics to be a representative we can be proud of and count on.
Jack has our admiration for the kind of man he is, and our vote for the kind of representative he will be. |

I think it is important to note that this poll although irrelevant, has only been posted on Jack Lee's blog. Naturally the numbers will lean towards Jack.
As someone who has not picked a candidate for the 3rd District yet I do not think it is fair for this poll to be taken very seriously. For this poll to be accurate it should be broadcast through appropriate channels so all residents of the 3rd district can take part of it. |

I met Jack Lee about a year and a half ago when I posted to his blog and then became his blogging partner. In this short time I've had the great priviledge of reading his thoughts on issues both great and small. It's amazing how much you can learn about the character of a person when you can peek into his journal each day!
Jack Lee is a kind and thoughtful man who is dedicated to making our state government work. His passion and enthusiasm coupled with his varied background and experience will make him a fine representative for the people in the third district. We can cast our votes for Jack Lee with confidence...in today's political world that's really saying something. |

Dan Logue is a personal friend,a man of integrity, and a true Conservative Republican, we need him as our representative in Sacramento. He speaks plainly, directly, and his actions follow his words.
|
||||

Who is Jack Lee and why is he running? Why haven't we heard of him in Nevada County and other parts of the district before?
|

Hmmm...so I am typing here and I notice that all of a sudden Dan Logue gets a bunch of votes? Funny that all these people should be thinking of going to this website and voting at exactly the same time. Well, strange things happen in politics don't they?
Ok, moving right along, for the 3rd time I am trying to thank my friends for posting such kind words. Someone once said, "Friends are the family we have chosen for ourselves." Truer words never spoken. Thanks again everybody for your support, I sure need it! I am up against two very powerful campaigns with tons of money. |

Dan Logue has demonstrate strong moral character. His decision, though I do not agree with all, have been based on a moral foundation that is beyond human standards. He believes in doing what is right and not what is expedient.

Bruce I am glad you asked that!
My political background has been mostly supporting other Republicans for office and supporting conservative issues, sometimes as a spokesperson, also as Butte County Republican Central Committee, Chairman, Vice Chair, Treasurer, etc. When we heard that our current Assemblyman (Rick Keene) was being term limited out of office next year, a few of my closest friends did some arm twisting and talked me into running. My first stop was developing a platform and since I have been publishing articles on good government for years, that part came easy: Secure our border with Mexico to enforce a sensible immigration policy, protect property rights for home owners, water rights for farmers and infrastructure to protect and preserve water resources, hold the line on taxes while sorting out ways to make the tax dollar for farther, prison reform (California is the worst for recidivism), education reform (Ca was recently 49th/50 states for reading and writing) we must do better on this one, as they say, failure is not an option and plugging some big cracks in the health care system by using deregulation to stimulate competition for lower premiums and more plans while we do some tort reform to hold down skyrocketing costs.(If we don't, we're headed for socialized medicine.) We also need to bring in a balanced budget on time and if that means stopping legislators pay, then so be it, I’m tired of the games. California is the worlds 7th largest economy and the state is in debt, schools are failing, prisons are overcrowded, crime is rampant and half of east LA speaks Spanish! If these guys were paid for their results, they would be lucky to get minimum wage, so holding them accountable by stopping their salary makes perfect sense to me. I also had an idea to stop “trailers” on bills. Trailers are hidden within a bill and they don't get the exposure for a fair review. Trailers are also used as bribes and as extortion to get a bill through. Well, I think if the trailer was so great then it should be a stand alone bill...period! Trailers/Pork is simply a gateway to more waste, fraud and abuse. End of part 1 |

Power corrupts and absolute power... and the rest of that story is money equals power. In the state capitol as in DC, money in the form of campaign contributions work like legal bribery. Too often this results in too much focus on special interests and not enough attention on your interests. I've investigated this and there is no doubt in my mind money is too often the deciding factor in elections, in legislation and lack of reform. If you don't see it, it's because you haven't looked hard enough. When it comes to this part we're in serious trouble and the legislation and the corruption in the headlines says it all.
That's why I decided to run. I want to be a reformer, an ethical candidate running on ideas and against the odds. I wanted to set the good example and spread the word that we are headed down the wrong road and we must reform our elections and the way we do legislation. We must stop the corrupt practices and get the bums out of office! Part of being ethical is to run as my own man, on my own merits and ideas. No professional campaign manager needed or wanted. I just need my friends who have generously volunteered to help. We wanted to prove that what you see is what you get! No big endorsements from high profile politicians either. I’m not running on anyone's coat tails. The only endorsement I want is yours because you mean more to me than any big name politician. You have a real choice in this election, you can repeat the mistakes of the past by letting money determine outcome or you can elect a fighter who is not afraid to break with the status quo and say no to special interests trying to buy another politician. I'm not afraid to take risks in this campaign or in Sacramento. I believe I can win this election on straight forward talk, ideas and using only a fraction of the money the other two campaigns are spending, but only if you are behind me. We need to set the example in the election that we can do more with less! We need to stand up for character, ethics and restore voter confidence and it can begin right here in the 3rd Assembly District. I don't believe you can do more with less Mr. Lee. There is only so much effeciancy that can be achieved, and if you have ever worked in government or business you would know that.
If you think you can get by with less, you are going to eventually see diminishing returns. How about instead of trying to tell people that you are going to do "more with less" you encourage people to do more. Do more in your communities, do more in your public schools, do more to help your neighbors and do more to help those less fortunate. Good luck to all the candidates. I hope that a clean campaign is run by all parties. Lets see an end to the Iraq War. |

Jack Lee endorsed Ross Perot and abandoned the party. It is people like fair weathered Jack who gave us the Clintons. Jack go back to Perot'S party.
I like Sue. |

I agree with the comment Jack Freitas made about Rick Keene doing a great job. That's why he personally endorses Dan Logue.

Sergio if you don't think there is room for improvement (doing more with less) then you must be a democrat! lol
The begining of "doing more" starts with people getting off their butts and on their feet and demanding more from their legislators! We need to hold them accountable. Look at this Fabian Nunez character with over 5 million bucks in his campaign war chest. He regularly uses (abuses) that campaign money to take trips to Europe where he stays in swanky hotels and lives like a billionaire. The only accountability he has is once he was asked by the FPPC if these trips were really for state business and he simply said, "Why of course!" Case closed. See, there is no independant verification, only the honor system. This stinks! Nunez needs to go and he's not the only one. By the way Sergio, I have worked in small businesses and I ran my own business for years too. I know about the fundamentals of business and about hard work on the farm. The stuff that too many people assume American don't do anymore. Ha! This American still does it, I plant trees, I irrigate, I build fences, corals, sheds, I prune trees, I pick up walnuts, etc., don't ever tell this guy what Americans won't do! Now this campaign is just starting and I've already articulated more issues and more ways of fixing things than the anyone has ever done running for office in this district! I'm really available and ready to talk to anyone about the issues. Go read my blog, POST SCRIPTS at the ERonline or read my statements on the my website at JackLeeElection.com It's all out there, every issue! And I've been speaking to every group I can and the response has been great! Sit back and watch Sergio, this is going to be one heck of a run! |
