Killing an innocent person is a big no no...if proven guilty he should get the death sentence. This will set an example for all murderers.

How can a person be intoxicated with alcohol and still fire a rifle 50 to 100 yards at a target...I don't think I would be able to do so.

Some things don't add up. He is scum if he did do it, but why did he leave his car at the scene and walk all the home from there? Also that shot would be hard to make sober...

I think He didn't do it! there has been no evidence! he left his car when he realized he was too DRUNK to DRIVE and walked home. The connection is his car and himself was in area that night. IT could of been Jeff as the victim! They say he could not have known gender or race because of lighting conditions etc. However he is accused of making a head shot to a moving target without night scope and DRUNK! REALLY??? Oh and must of found the shell the gun ejected after firing in the dark, DRUNK TOO.... We should all FEAR there is a KILLER on the loose! And PD isn't looking.. THERE is alot of Strange, Dangerous homeless people that live in that bidwell park area.....

I personally know the accused suspect and I feel like I need to speak out about this. Jeff was the type of person that was always there for his friends. When I had my own person tragedy he was the first person there. When one of our friends was alone on Christmas Jeff spent the day with him because he felt bad that he was alone. I can recall countless stories like these. Anytime anyone had a problem we all knew that Jeff could be counted on for support. Does this sound like the type of person who would commit such an act? No one who personally knows Jeff can believe he would do such a thing.

If you saw the devil himself he would probably look as you described. That's how he pulls people in.

The BTK killer was a husband, father, church and cub scout leader. It was unbelievable to everyone who knew him, just like Jeff with you.

As previously stated above about Jeff spending Christmas with a friend so he wouldn't be alone...That person was me! Jeff is the greatest friend and person that anyone would have the pleasure of meeting. David Yang's death is a tragedy, however Jeff did not kill him. Unlike what the crooked, corrupt, and conviction happy media has stated, Jeff did NOT confess to anything. Our law states innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. There's not a single piece of evidence showing Jeff shot that man. There's more evidence showing it wasn't him.

i was just made aware of this story and i am in total shock. i also feel the need to speak up for my friend jeffrey menzies. i served along side him and feel like he was one of my brothers. i also had tough times while serving and i can recall jeffrey being there for me as a friend. i do not believe he could be the one to do something horrible like this.
this is suck a sad story and i will pray for everyone involved. i will pray for Mr. Yang's family. i stand along side of jeffrey and i believe he is innocent. prayers need to go out to Menzies and his family also. such a sad story.
Jeff please stay strong and you will get through this, you are not alone brother.

I know nothing about Jeff.
But I want to say that you cannot and should not trust the PD, DA, courts and attorneys for any reason.

I have been involved with Butte County Superior Court for five years now in a non criminal case, and there is not enough space on this thread to tell you of all of the lying, perjury, thievery and corruption that is not only allowed in that court house, it is also encouraged.
Just take a look at the district attorney Ramsey, himself?
And you Butte County idiots voted him back in?
I simply could not believe it when I saw it.

Jeff is guilty.. people who say, how can someone shoot a guy so far away.. easy, you shoot at a target and anything can happen.. all it takes is one lucky or unlucky shot..bullets can travel pretty damn far.. the intent might not have been to kill but too late, someone is left without their life

I served in the military with jeff, he is a loving guy, very easy to get along with, great guy, its hard to think that he is capable of such a crime, I personally also stand by jeff, for those of you that say those awful things like "fry him" or "can I stick the needle in him" this can easily be your family memeber, do u think u could stand there and watch a man die like that, then u should not be out on the streets..... the rest of us are not safe w u on the streets..... im disgusted with you animals.
