And what does her age and sex have to do with it. The column should read that the motorcycle was struck by another vehicle.

The age and sex of the driver are very important. What are the chances that this 17yr old girl was on her cell phone? Or doing something else distracting while she was driving? When you put a 17yr old behind the wheel of a 2 1/2 ton deadly weapon going 35-50 mph you are asking for trouble. Her age and sex is most definately an issue.

I agree about the age. The article is stating a fact about a 17 year old girl driving a vehicle that killed an innocent woman. Age does play a factor in this case. The teenager was behind the wheel(a 17 year older)lacking the experience. I'm sorry to say that teenagers can't react as quickly. I think that they should raise the age on teenagers being able to get their license. Way too many teenagers are doing things that they should not be doing: changing the radio station, texting, talking on the phone, and speeding because they think that it is cool. I have seen my share of teenagers passing me on the road going way too fast and wrapping themselves around a tree, because that lost control of their car. You have to be in control of your vehicle at all times. It only takes a blink of an eye for things to go wrong. A loved one was taken away from this family by one simple mistake. My heart goes out to the family that lost their loved one. Respect other people on the road especially those on motorcycles.
Cant believe it happened

I agree that age is important, but also that is important is that this same 17 year old had just wrecked and totaled another suv, less then one month before this accident, and in the area where this wreck happened, within a few hundred feet, there was a carwash fund raiser going on with kids from the same school district as this young driver, its scary to know (and we have all done this in our younger days) that teenagers feel indistructable, the it will never happen to me, and to know now that all this young girl has to think about is NOW "WHATS" GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME, and look whats happen because of me.

First off i agree with you about the whole no concentration aspect of the situation!! However teenagers are not the only ones who do not pay attention! I am 23 years old, i am a male, and i myself have found that i do lose concentration while driving! Everybody looks to see something that caught there eye! EVERYBODY!!! Even you Kountry Chick! Plus you know how many times i have seen "adults" talking, textin, and the moast messed up of all PUTTING THEIE MAKE UP ON while driving!!! Now i am a guy and i do not know what it is like to put make up on but how in the hell are you going to do it while driving??? Then you got people over 21 drinkin and driving! They go out and kill a family they are not teenagers! You got a devoted father that works 60-70 hours a week falls asleep and hits someone head on what about that? All i am sayin is we all need to wake up and smell the coffee! Nobody is perfect!! If you say that you never lose concentration while driving 99.9% of the time you are lieing!! Im not a cold hearted person but when you are sittin there bashing on all teenagers that they all should not be able to drive your wrong! I also feel for the family that had this life taken from them! But we all need to realize we are all guilty!!!!!!!
