Barron County ordinance aims to keep lakes clean

When a park attendant asked two Minnesota boaters to remove some dangling aquatic weeds from their boat before launching it in Barron County's Red Cedar Lake, they told her she couldn't make them do it.

They are going to need hook ups for power washers at every possible boat launch on every lake and stream.

I was taught as a young child by my grandfather that I should respect nature and do positive thing to preserve it. I am not a tree hugger, but walking around your boat and pulling off a couple of weeds really doesn't seem that difficult, does it?
