I believe the media moguls hired a bit of a lightweight who is young and inexperienced. AC-T had Gary Rowe at one time, and Rowe filed the lawsuit for AC-T a couple of years ago to open up DSS records concealing circumstances in the homicide of a child. He won too.

Both Glen Kelly and Gary Rowe are triple-A creme-de-la-creme lawyers with a history of victories in all the courts.

I watched that hearing Tuesday, and I was flabbergasted. If the lawsuit is dismissed, the dismissal may be due to the technicality of not naming the proper party, or some other failure to perfect the claim, so that the judge never reached the merits of the lawsuit. I'm just speculating. I don't know. I'd like to see the pleadings, i. e., the courthouse file. But I know that Ron Payne (representing Moe Ronnie) did a lot of bombastic Jarndyce vs. Jarndyce squalling and cited a whole laundry list of the technical rules of civil procedure he claimed had not been complied with.

Looks like both sides spent a lot of money. And for the City of Asheville to hire a lawyer from a pot-bellied Martindale-Hubbell law firm in Charlotte at $325/hr., when they have a whole stable-full of overpaid lawyers, that was an outrage against the taxpayers.

I think we're being scammed anyway, because by the contract with Blue Line the city was entitled to a copy of that 15-volume report UP FRONT. Hell, we paid for it. And at $175,000 an exorbitant price too. Moe Ronnie didn't pay a dime for it, and yet he has it stone-walled while he pretends to be using its details to wage a criminal investigation. BS & BS!

And I don't know how many conflicting tales we've heard from various city officials about why they never got their paws on the report the city paid for.
