In Asheville, airport deal had unintended consequences

As a result of the state General Assembly’s approval of a bill last summer to make the airport an independent agency, five different local governments are being asked to adopt special zoning for property around the airport to satisfy federal regulators.

Asheville airport will never be a major airport if the bus routes to it only arrive once every hour and a half and don't even run on Sundays.
