Whats up with these fires in vacant buildings. This makes the second one in about a month. The first was just across the river from this one.I was told by one of the park workers that the first one may have been a meth lab ,but I never did hear for sure.

Only difference is mcdonalds isn't a vacant building. From what I've heard neither of these buildings had anyone using them so I assume the electricty was turned off. Its also kinda strange that they were so close together.( just across the river from each other ).

Um the guy that lives on the river would be my dad n my mom. Im pretty sure he didn't do it when he was sleeping at 3am..and than went an helped the fire guys. It wasn't fraud because my dad knew the guy who had just bought it, and he had no insurance on it yet. The house across the river was bought by the city to help new firefighters get their training. So get your facts straight.

On the other hand though, vacant buildings aren't really in need of a "playland" built on the front. And on the same token,McDonalds doesn't provide the cover of darkness for trouble-making teen-age arson enthusiasts quite as well as old vacant buildings on the river bank. And on top of that,,,when you question the character of the guy who showed up to save the day as well as declare it an actual grease-fire......

I don't know a thing about you mom and dad, but I was told by one of the city employees that the first building that burned down was NOT used by the firefighters to get practice. He said that the EPA makes it so hard with all the regulations that they don't do it anymore. I'm just curious as to why you would let your parents live on the river bank? Why not let them live with you instead of on the river.

The house that burned across the river from the furniture store was not purchased by the city for fire department training.

I can see how that can make a person suspect foul-play.However,it's got me thinking that you're saying that if you was a fireman, and you was real good friends with the police-department,then what would be the fun in spending money out of your bucket to buy a house to ignite so you can simply aim your water-hoses at it as an end result??? Especially when the rightful owners would simply call you and your over-eager batch of young lads to come and put it out if it were to accidentally ignite anyway?.
Is that where you're going with this?
