Hot Summer Nights need new organizers who are more interested in the success of the event than touting their own personal interests.

I think Mayor Tinnell needs to think about this for more than just 10 seconds. This could by a revenue maker for not only Shepherdsville but also Bullitt County in whole.Wake and smell the coffee Mayor!!! If you are not for makeing more many and saving the taxpayers money then maybe you need to stay out of the race next year and not worry about his retirement.

I am a citizen of this fine community. I do not want my streets closed down five (5) times during the summer for a car show. I do not want my tax money going to pay for overtime for police that will be needed. Non-profit making? I love car shows, however; not at the cost to the community. Have the car show in the city park or fairgrounds. However; five times is certainly too much, there are others who also want to have use of what the city has to offer.

I think Hot Summer Nights is a good activity but I agree, shuting down the streets 5 times is too much and too costly for the city. It should be held in the park or maybe over by the convention center in the large side parking lot close to I-65.

The car cruse is a great idea. Look at Summer Set that cruise turned into the largest monthly car cruise in the country. Well over 1000 cars/trucks at every show. People travel a long way to attend. This could turn into something like that. The park is a great place for this event. Far as the road being blocked IMO if you are to lazy to take a extra 2 minutes to drive around that 1/4 mile road that is block you have more things to worry about.
My vote is in. Lets do it. and if this happens let me know Ill help advertise.
