Beautiful, spacious, light-filled three-bedroom, modern house retreat set on five wooded acres 1/4 mile from the world famous Satchidananda "Yogaville" Satchidananda Ashram established thirty years ago on the banks of the James River in Buckingham, Virginia. House amenities include cathedral ceilings, two bathrooms, Jacuzzi, fully equipped kitchen, deck, barbeque, horseshoes, volley ball, and more... Body workers are available to come to the house. There are a total of seven beds in three private bedrooms and loft; additional sleeping capacity is available.(For somewhat larger groups, additional guests may also use ashram lodging.)
Create your own getaway retreat:
- Guests may participate in yoga, meditation, meals, and health spa at the interfaith ashram for extra fees.- Or they may design their own retreats with relaxing at the house, and/or taking advantage of any number of local activities: hiking, cycling, canoeing, inner-tubing, horseback riding, antiquing, or enjoying what Charlottesville and Monticello have to offer 40 minutes away.- Or both.
a) Guests may rent individual rooms and caretaker/host can provide breakfast, B&B style. b) Guests can rent the entire house to themselves. c) Small groups may rent the house for retreats and either cook for themselves or have their meals provided at the house.
