Is the county coroner going to step up for bat in this position? Are they in support of getting rid of the drug issues in Brunswick County?

It is my understanding that some of these same things have happened with a local police chief and a local city. Yet no one every came forward to do anything about it. Also, the women he harassed since 2005. Why keep working? Why not find another job and then go after him? Why wait until several years later? I like the Sheriff and he may have done wrong. Why have people waited so long on some of these things before coming forward? I seen this same thing happen in Davidson Co., NC. Good Sheriff and he was on national TV. Then right after that everyone goes after him. It seems the same thing is happen to this Sheriff. He maybe be guilty but some of what has been said is just crazy. Like the photos of employees painting. I never see anybody painting those. How do we know for sure that was what was happening? Lets hope the truth comes out.

The REASON these people kept on working at the Sheriffs department was simply because they KNEW the consequences if they did try to make any charges allegations against him.
He used to tell people 'I am God, if you walk in here tomorrow and I don't like your hair, I can and will fire you' sometimes 'power' goes to peoples heads, the power he had went above and beyond his head.
Importing illegal immigrants, supporting the drug dealers in this county - by the way, no sheriff in the USA has so many houses or lives in an area which is not accessible to the public, living behind a gate means you've got something to hide. BUYING votes to win elections is WRONG, his time has finally come and he deserves more than what he will get, the democrats in this area have the awakening they deserve.
Hewett started off as a 'bag boy' in a supermarket, he should have stayed there instead of getting his hands so dirty he didn't know right from wrong.
This is Brunswick County's WAKE UP CALL, the BIGGEST crook in the county has finally been caught.
AMEN

If all of you think that Mr. Hewett was alone in his actions, well I will be LMAO when this all comes to a head. Each law enforcment agency in the county needs to look within. I bet, each would find a few that need to be strung up along with the former Sheriff. Remember, this is not the first time this has happened in BC. Irregardless of the consequences, the whistleblowers were probably right to wait. Building a case like this takes time, especially when you have to formulate a way to hide the poor and improper things that you have done as not to implicate yourself when you point the finger. You can be assured that this glass house will fall and the citizens of BC will be left to sweep another scandal under the rug.

But he should distance himself from Chris Batten. Batten's fleas will harm him politically.
