People put all the blame on the Chief of Police. Yes, he is head of his Office. On the other hand he has an Assistant Chief and other Policeman that he has to trust to do there Job the correct way. I believe all hires are approved by the City Council. There always those that have there opinions and Judge people without really knowing all the facts.
There some that write things in the Local Newspaper about what has happened. These people have ghost in there own Closets.
Since I can remember the Chief has helped alot of Local Organizations, nobody ever points out all the good things people do.
I heard that The Chief was being punished by the City Council along with the Mayor for what has happened. I really hope they have there Facts right.

Yes,"Citizen", the blame is on the Chief because he was stupid to leave the pot out in the open to the drug rats in his PD that would easily steal it. Haven't you seen how well one in particular lives. People can state that his wife is the one with the money but her business isn't doing THAT WELL. Her ins. place isn't busy at all so how do they come up with the finances to live high on the hog? They do commit alot of fraud too as they drain the government with Medicaid & Head Start for their kids. If they are so well off as they are it's due to the fact that they aren't honest people. They should be able to pay for their kids day care not have the government take care of them.Head Start staff, wise up as you allow these type of fraudulent crimes to keep happening. Even going into the dentist & doctor & flip out that Medicaid card. How shameful is that? They lie about their income everywhere to be able to reap the benefits. Yet they show off driving their two new SUVs.

Well in the end the City Council of Falfurrias has to be the biggest governmental joke in the state of Texas to allow the Chief to "lose $4K and 100# of drugs" and use City property as his own etc. etc. and then just suspend him for 15 days without having an outside investigation conducted by someone other than his compadre Texas Ranger to get down to the bottom of this fiasco. Our city council should take notes from the City council and city manager of Corpus. They didn't fire the Chief but they found things out about what he had done with an outside investigation and gave him the choice to retire or fight the charges. No one in their right mind thinks he chose retirement because he knew he was in the clear, he chose it before they find other things that he could get in trouble for. And all this started with some supposed inappropriate comments, can you imagine what they would have done had he lost drugs and drug money? Take notes Wesley and Letty since you all chose not to vote on this issue.

Hey isn't that the way here in Falfungus, the Chief takes cell phones that belong to the City and uses them for his personal use, he "loses" $4000 of drug money, he "loses" 100 # of marijuana, has another full time job patrolling the county for a private ranch and now he sues the City for failing to do HIS job.
