I just don't see the point in spending 24 million dollars to fix a stretch of rural road.

Where exactly is this road "improvement" going to raise property values? The north side of BG is not exactly an attractive spot for family rearing or business at this time with all the drugs and crime in that area.

It's a heavy traveled road. With many bad spots that wrecks have happened on. This has needed to be done for years.

Drugs and crime?? What exactly does that have to do with straighting a dangerouse road. Not that there is anymore durgs or crime in that area than....oh I don't know...Delifield or maybe for instance, your house.

There are plenty of other roads in Warren County that are similar to your description but they're not being straightened at a cost of 24 million.

Why can't they just put up a bunch of warning signs or lights and lower the speed limit in that area?

If you read the accompanying story, then you would know that some official stated that this project would raise property values in the area. I assume that he meant along Highway 185 from the county line all the way to BG. Pertaining to the crime and drugs, Delafield and the projects there on the north side of BG are exactly where I'm talking about. Richardsville is not a very nice place either from what I hear. Some may love it in northern Warren County, but I wouldn't want to live out there.

I just don't see how straightening this road is going to make anyone's property value meaningfully increase, especially in a part of the county and city where not many want to live or do business.

So because you don't want to have anything to do with that side of the county you think it shouldn't get a much needed I'm addition for a safety issue. Let's see. Scottsville side of town gets new rd. Nashville rd side gets new rd. Russiville rd has started the improvements. A heavily traveled rd that has needed improvement for over 20 years doesn't deserve but some new signs. Crawl back under your rock

Wondering has a point and clayton is a dumbass. My kids ride a bus that's has to travel that section of road and it wasn't to long ago someone wrecked and died on the soon to be fixed road. So just because "clayton bixby" doesn't like this neighbor they shouldn't fix the road??? I don't think so. And there are just as much if not more drugs and crime on the otherside of town. So so f yourself. Oh yeah merry Christmas!
