This type of thing is so bad!!!! Let me tell you why, MY Aunt is legally Legally blind! She can not see unless she turns her head just a certain way and then just maybe she can she something, WELL last year the State of Ga. sent her a renewal paper in the mail, Someone helped her sign the paper and she has her new driver's license’s, You are saying now maybe she is using this for a I.D. right? NO! She still drives her big F150 pick up truck up and down a dirt road near Blackshear, Ga. She say she is not hurting anyone, Most of the time she drives her trash to and from the her property to the main road but she turns around on the main road. I THINK we need a better way of doing things.. I am glad see lives near Blackshear instead of Waycross...

Dang, I'll start being EXTRA careful driving thru Blackshear now! Yipes.

Even though the internet license renewal is nice, I would prefer Georgia go back to the renewing in person. There's just too much room for fraud, not catching the legally blind, and other issues when we can do so anonymously. Just because someone hasn't had an accident doesn't mean they're fit to drive.

Kinda off subject, but in the same vein: I believe that Georgia needs to tighten their motor licensing laws anyway. There's plenty of young people that have NO business behind the wheel they are so careless. I'm posting WAY too many obituaries at www.findagrave.com for 'kids' under 25 who die in auto accidents. They're driving too fast for their lack of experience and not wearing safety restraints. I think it would make the roads safer if all States would raise the legal driving age to 21 years. Those under 21 years could still have restricted licenses (driving with an adult in the vehichle) so as to gain experience. I'm tired of so many young lives needlessly being cut short.

Just my never-to-be-humble opinion.:o)
