There is more where this came from....you want me to keep it coming? How about sticking to the matter at hand here instead of insulting people for things that aren't even happening. The issue here is contamination of water........how about you go figure out ways to make drilling safer instead of sitting here on the computer lying about how its so safe.

Pennsylvania environment officials are racing to clean up as much as 8,000 gallons of dangerous drilling fluids after a series of spills at a natural gas production site near the town of Dimock last week.-----http://www.propublic a.org/article/frack-fluid-spil l-in-dimock-contaminates-strea m-killing-fish-921

"DEP was forced to take action since Cabot continues to deny responsibility for the contamination, despite overwhelming evidence of its responsibility," DEP Secretary John Hanger said in a letter released widely on Tuesday and circulated over the weekend in Susquehanna County."----http://thedai lyreview.com/news/dep-cabot-ar gue-over-dimock-water-contamin ation-1.1051851

Penn Twp., Thousands of gallons of hydrofracturing fluid spills at a gas well pad in Pennsylvania. The spill was discovered by a DEP inspector who noticed that the valve of a fracking fluid tank was left open.------http://www.wbng.com /news/state/Fracking-Fluid-Spi lls-in-Lycoming-County-1099634 14.html

The Department of Environmental Protection has fined Talisman Energy USA Inc., of Horseheads, N.Y.,$15,506 for a spill of used natural gas drilling fluids last November at its Klein gas well pad in Armenia Township, Bradford County that polluted a small, unnamed waterway.-------http://www.pen nenergy.com/index/petroleum/di splay/9901667477/articles/penn energy/petroleum/exploration/2 010/08/pennsylvania-dep_fins.h tml

Atlas Resources LLC, a natural gas drilling company with operations in Pennsylvania’s Marcellus shale region, has been fined $97,350 for a spill of hydraulic fracturing fluids in the southwest part of the state. According to a press release from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), the spill, which occurred late last year, polluted a high-quality watershed in Hopewell Township, Washington County.-----http://www.newsinf erno.com/health-concerns/pa-ga s-drilling-fined-over-fracking -fluid-spill/

Funny how you sit back and make big bucks and make the Mexicans work for pennies.Whats up with that anyway? The jobs were suppose to be for people around here.More lies and cover ups...

The jobs would be provided to the people around here, if they were interested. It's hard work and a lot of hours. Seems the people around here don't want any part of that. So, no choice but bring the people here that are willing to work.

When everyone found out that we all had been lied to,the excitement left. No one wants to ruin the place where they grew up. You could have went to the Bush ranch and dug there.

I dont know why we r all so freaked over drilling when there is much pollution from many other industries. I have heard all my life of the odd person here being able to set fire to their water and im 38. If those of us here r going to reject oil and gas drilling then why not back up the convictions all the way? No more cars with gas, ride a bike or walk, no lawnmowers..pluck ur grass blade by blade or let it grow up, no boats, planes, gas heated homes, tractors, combines for field planting of corn, fruit trees etc. When u think about it gas and oil touches every part of our lives and has given us the freedom to go so many places around the world, to advance so much further in industry than we could have imagined. To any of us wanting to stop the drilling r u also willing to give up every convenience it affords us even down to the smallest parts of our lives? I'm not and if u have anything i have mentioned and then some r arent either! People like to jump on the bandwagon and go on the witch hunt but if ur really serious then back up ur words with actions and get rid of ur cars and all modern conveniences or ur words mean nothing. Our cleaning products, hair products, hair and material dyes, gun cleaners, everything in our garages, kitchens, bathrooms all contribute as much if not more to polluting our air and waters. Will u give all that up too?

Take a minute to look up a few of the levels of pollution and air quality that drilling causes in such a short time......it is in no way comparable to the pollution caused by many things that we do everyday. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself on the pollution before you make up your mind.

I for one have given up alot, I started going Green before Green was popular. I ditched my dryer and hang my clothes out in the fresh air.But I guess that will end do to a pad being put near our house,so the pollution your talking about will be in the air at our place. So much for people going Green!!!! Think before you talk.

fracking in the winter time. Industrialization, pollution, gas lines, truck traffic, destruction of the environment and zero tourism. Everything that northern PA had is being lost to those on the take.

Tourists don't come to visit the Love Canal and they won't come to the northern tier of PA. But we got lots of big equipment and great looking industrial sites and out of state workers and a well paid off Sen Scarnatit on the take that assures he wins and we lose.

We will need evacuation maps due to all the pipeline their going to be putting in.And what about all the Man Camps being built? They should have taken that money and fixed up the real estate around here. 7,000,000,000.00 thats alot of chump change for Yaw, and Corbett. Wonder if they got Super Bowl Tickets too.

Just wait til the closters of cacer s start, this place will never be the same,,I went to Wysox and Towanda the other day and it looks like the slums .It's dirty and unhealthy to sit in traffic for 45 minutes. And i say KUDOS to the owner of the laundramat in Troy that put a stop to the gas guys doing their wash there. I agree with 100%. There are chemicals on those clothes and maybe even radiation. Some mother doing her families wash may take that home on their clothes. Then what ???? More illness? I say STOP THE DAMN FRACKING!!!! It's doing more harm then good.
